Whaley tombstone, Greenwich, NY
Alice, I have a question about your transcription of the Whaley tombstone(s) in Greenwich Cemetery, Greenwich, NY. As you can see from my photo, there is no detailed inscription for Rachel in particular. Has the old stone been replaced since you were there?

Morse-Dunning Street
Taking a morning to just browse Find A Grave, seeing who of my extended family might 'need me'; finding entries for Harriet Burr Morse and husband Hiram Morse.
Thank you so very much for their memorial pages and photographs.
My ancestral family line of BURR has taken me on a heck of a journey, one of which I am so grateful.

GOD BLESS YOU and THANK YOU.

Frances M Smith Prospect Hill Cemetery
Hiram and Frances were my great grandparents. Their daughter Alice Frances Shaw Brisbin was my grandmother. I am told I had a great aunt Camilla and Frances died in childbirth or shortly after. I have found many references to Camilla Shaw Clark but no confirmation that she IS my Aunt Camilla. What does calculated relationship mean? Why is Alice Frances not listed as child? Thanks for the picture and your work on our behalf.

Probably the same back area of the brain I use a lot... LOL

I am pretty sure that DEVOE is a variation of DEYOE which IS a variation of DEYO.

Check Find A Grave for the last name of DEVOE.
Compare to the dates for DEYOE
Compare to the dates of DEYO

I am recording DEVOE as part of my DEYO Ancestry but for the most part I am recording DEVOE the early years (early 1800's). Looking for when the DEVOE split off of the DEYOE.

I have already found several families that split off of DEYO and created DEYOE. Fathers with the name DEYO and a son or two took the name DEYOE. I do not know if it was intentional or because they could not read or write they belived what someone told them the spelling was. IE: Census takers etc.

Thank you for your help and yes.... please let me know if you find early DEVOE's.
