I was born and raised in NYS' beautiful Hudson River Valley; so I grew up surrounded by history.
I was about 8 when I dug up a Revolutionary War era musket ball in our garden and was awed by the stories it could have told. When my father showed me a coin from the mid 1800s he found in his local boyhood schoolyard, I was hooked on history.
My grandmother's sister lived to a lucid 106 years of age and fed my addiction for stories from the olden days.
And now I have become one of those little old ladies I used to make fun of, happily wandering around cemeteries and record halls.
Home for the last 25 years has been Otsego County in Central NYS; a place with an old abandoned cemetery around every corner. I like nothing more than uncovering an old stone and giving them back their names and histories and families on FAG.
I try to research each person's background carefully, but if you see a mistake, let me know. And if you see a relative and want a transfer, let me know.

Christoval Toledano - is he your grandfather? Hi! I was just working on my family tree and was looking at my records on Christoval Toledano. I saw that you maintain, but did not originate his records. Just curious, is he your grandfather? He is my 5th great grandfather, on my Faucheux side. Sadly, when I discovered him, his Toledano Manor in Biloxi had already been destroyed by Katrina (technically, by a casino barge!)
Quille Weant Hey! There is a photo of Quille Weant here that says its from you. I was wondering if there was any way you know how (or where) you got that photo? ''Uncle Quille'' was my father's great uncle, and I heard stories about him my whole life. Never thought I would see a picture of him. Thank you SO much for publishing this!
