|Kevin Finch||RE: Chester Griffith|
Thanks Leo. I live close to Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, in Ventura. I have been on a quest to find the members of the Griffith family that I have in a 1898 photo of the family, taken in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Three of them are buried at Ivy Lawn. Chester's father William Jasper Griffith, and two of Williams sisters, Abbie (Griffith) Powers, and Sallie "Eva" (Griffith) Prentice. Its been fun tracking them all down.

Can I ask you where you got the photo of Chester? His grand parents are my Great great grand parents. I am always looking for photo connections to family. His Aunt Ella is my great grandmother.
|Joel Shore||Margaret Harvard at Mt Hope|
I just put up pictures for her. As you can see, there are also gravestones for Ellen Harvard (1897) and John Harvard (1872) [her parents?]. If you want create memorials for them, I can put up pictures that I took for them too.
|Dennis Peterson||James Westfall Transfer|
Thanks for the transfer of James Westfall (generation 5). His memorial has been updated and links established so his line is now connected back to generation one.
Kindest Regards, Dennis Peterson
for transferring the Grooms entries, Very much appreciated. Do you happen to know what all the dozens of graves are that are covered in slabs of granite? I've never seen anything like those anywhere. I had heard there's the myster of the really old one, but what about the other 100 or so? Thank you again!

|Joel Shore||RE: Van Lare family|
Great...I'll post photos up.
As for Floyd Grannis (1884-1923), he's buried elsewhere in the cemetery. (You can see what his stone says here: http://mcnygenealogy.com/cem/mthope-bb-singles-a.htm) If you create a memorial and submit a photo request, I or another volunteer could get a photo.
|Joel Shore||Re: Photo request for Van Lare's and DeGroote|
I just fulfilled these photo requests. Note that you have Mary DeGroote assigned to the wrong cemetery: She is actually at Mt Hope, near Isaac and Josina Van Lare (different quarter of the same lot). (The notation in the interment records seems to indicate she was reburied there several weeks after the original burial.)
I also found other family members in Lot 235 of Range 8. The "Alice Reid" shown on the plot map right next to Isaac is Alice Van Lare Reid (1884-1945) and her (presumed) husband is Charles B. Reid (1871-1927). I took photos if you want to create memorials.
Then, there is also Carrie Van Lare (1890-1942) buried in a third quarter of that same lot. Again, I took a picture.
|Candace Smith||Michael Phillip Usina|
Could you remove the stock cemetery photo so I can add a photo of M Usina to your memorial? Thanks CJS
|Linda Wallis||Clarence Everett Adams|
There are two Find A Grave Memorials for Clarence. The other one, which was just created, is at Memory Gardens in Victoria, Texas. I know Victoria is where his family is now living. This memorial has a picture of his grave. I think you have him buried in the wrong cemetery.
Hello James wasnt sure if you received my message on your email, Re: Chester's father (William Jasper Griffith), being My greatgrandmothers brother, and the links to family I have added.
