Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am Brynn Edwards! Born and raised in Southern Illinois with a strange upbringing. I grew up in cemeteries, libraries, and courthouses as I come from a line of genealogists. There is a big fascination with history especially local or military history. The "Anna State Hospital" cemetery I have added interments to is located on Choate Mental Health Facility's grounds where many of my family members have worked so I have a bit of attachment to this particular ground. I feel that everyone should be remembered and honored. While I am working on Choate's cemetery, I am also working on putting death records onto here as far as vital information. If you see a interment I have posted outside of Choate's then there is probably a death record at Union County Courthouse. If you feel that some information is wrong or would like to contribute information on an interment, please feel free to contact me! Genealogists talk and share information. If there is information I have found then I gladly share it. If you happen to find a family member I manage please send me a message telling me a bit about you and your connection with a request for transferring the memorial with you ID# then I'd be more than happy to transfer. If you are interested in Union County or Southern Illinois history please feel free to contact me!

RE: James Elam
I am not sure if you got my other message or not so I will send it again. My lineage to James Elam starts with my Grandmother, Mary Prickett Stansell. James Elam is my 11th ggrandfather. If I can be of further help, please contact me at dayrays@live.com. With ancestors that far back, we would be not too close but still cousins.

He is one of the computer people in the Bursars office. I forget his "official" title. Wow it is a small world. Yes Jim is Jamie's father.

RE: Syrian Davis
Sorry I haven't been on findagrave in awhile. Busy with life as I know you understand. Oddly I live in Union County as well. I really don't have any further information on Syrian Davis and or his daughter Mary Davis. I know Mary Holman (who is also here on findagrave and a native of Union County) has researched the Dillows and Davises and she may have more information on them. Now I am totally curious as to why they were in Cuba. Guess I'll need to do some research.

My maiden name was McPeak...married name Mayberry. I grew up in Norris City. The Parkinson's that I am related to were along the Ohio river in Hardin/Pope county. We are supposed to get more freezing rain Thursday...Hate it!

You are very welcome Brynn. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had sleet most of Sunday night and off and on all day Monday. Ice built up on anything outside. Hope you have a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! Eileen
