I try to complete the photographing of each cemetery before moving on (almost 100% of the pages I have posted are info. from the photos I take). Good luck to everyone finding their loved ones!|
I DO post "unknown" when a name isn't known. I do this from the cemetery photos I take. I go back, when I can, and try to find info on all the ones I post. These need to be left on the site so people can see who else is in the cemetery. I have found out who some were and people have told me who others were. I have seen MANY errors on names and dates when they were posted from a list. Much better to say "unknown" than have wrong info posted...
** Please do not post scanned obituaries, death certificates, or census records to the pages I add. If you have an obit. you want pertinent info. added from, feel free to send it to me.
** I do not post entire obits on my pages. My family and many others do not care for all that on our pages so I post the pertinent info: names, dates, occupations, and I link family members whenever I can. (Obits are mostly duplicates of the people linked and dates and cities, no need to repeat that info) There are more complaints about find a grave because entire obits are being posted than any other reason.
I also DO NOT post pages for LIVING Persons on here. *** Guidelines say NOT TO add a page for persons who are still living unless it is YOURSELF or a FAMOUS PERSON with a headstone in place.
***Please do not post duplicate pictures on the pages I post that already have pictures. 99.9% of my pages will already have headstone pictures as that is what I use to make up my pages. Duplicates will be removed.

Thanks for the dates from Sam Wenger's Wenger Book, which I see are repeated in all the trees on Rootsweb. As I was looking through the list of others buried in the Union Cemetery, I noticed other familiar names from Augusta County who were neighbors and associates of Abraham Wenger and his family, the Faubers, Groves and the Cresses, suggesting a group migration from Virginia to Illinois. Is it possible that the middle initial on David's tombstone is G (for Grove, his mother's maiden name) rather than a C? In 1879 Bishop Jacob Hildebrand, from the Hildebrand Church in Augusta County (and also administrator of Abraham Wenger's will) visited the brothers and sisters at the Union Meeting House and renewed fellowship with those who had moved to Illinois from Virginia, or their descendants, including David's older brother Elias.

I am related as well, via his mother Jean "Janes" Storie. He is a 1st cousin 3X removed. No not real close. How are you connected?
|Catherine Humphrey||RE: Pearl Shirey Dunsworth|
I am going to put a photo of her on the page. She was one that didn't take many photos, so the one I have I intend to share with everyone.
Thank you so much for your assistance in this page. I really appreciate it because it makes me feel closer to her. Thanks again. Catherine

Thanks for looking again. I would think she would be next to Lilburn Thaddeus Thomas, her husband. There is a picture of his stone on find a grave. The confusion seems to be that on find a grave she's listed as Elizabeth "Lizzie" Honce Harvey, but her memorial page has Elizabeth "Lizzie" Honce Thomas. I'm trying to determine if there might have been another marriage or if there's an error on find a grave.
Thanks for your help,

I noticed that you just sent a couple edits for memorials in this cemetery. It still needs a map on Findagrave. Do you happen to have GPS coordinates for it?

I am McCallister relation and just discovered this site a week ago.
I just want to give you my heartfelt gratitude for ALL the timeconsuming hard work you have done!
I was very close to my grandparents Walter and Ruby (McCallister) Hardy. I am their youngest grandchild. I live just outside Quincy (we moved
from Harmony township in 1965 when I was 4).
Well, feel free to contact me. Will close for now.
