I was born and raised in the Wesley Chapel Community. My father, TommieJohnson is buried in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. I still miss him. I would like to thank everyone who has left a flower on his memorial. He was a wonderful man. My greatgrandmother Anne Lightfoot,is buried in Widnes, England. She passed away not long after my Mother came to Texas.|
I am also the ggggrandaughter of Captain Samuel Harrison Bowen, and also James Jennings. Who both served our Country when the Tea Party first sprang into action. I am a member of The Houston County Historical Commission located in the Courthouse Annex in Crockett.
I believe very strongly in cemetery preservation. Marty Cash, a Fallen Graver, who dearly loved The Houston County Historial Commission, was dedicated heart and soul to recording Houston County Cemeteries, was my mentor. Please visit her memorial page and leave her a flower. Cemeteries in most cases are the only history of those that came before us. Like rare books in a library once it's lost it's lost forever.My only intention is to create a HISTORICAL RECORDING of those who are "Gone, but not Forgotten" before their tombstones are lost forever. This is copied from a fellow graver: "Get out and photograph memorials while they are still readable. This site is primarily for GRAVE photos not genealogy, preserve those memories that are quickly fading."
For those who wonder about such things, when the number of memorials managed is higher than the number of memorials created, this is due to a few members who decided to transfer their memorials to multiple findagrave contributors .... . and I am honored to be one of the contributors trusted to look after some of those memorials.
FROM THE FAQS:
How do I clean a headstone or grave marker?
Unless you are related to the interred on the headstone in question, DO NOT do anything to the headstone.
*Please do not add Death Certificates to my memorials on here - the information could freely be gathered by those attempting identity theft of the deceased, and could potentially contain information about living relatives. Thank you.
I am happy to share ANYTHING that I post. I have no crazy rules, My pictures are your pictures. Feel free to beg, borrow, steal with no intent to return. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ... not for my ego or for the "numbers."
Be kind to one another because - One day we will all be, 'just a name' etched in stone. "Nothing is ended until it is Forgotten."
This is the day the Lord hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it! (and not spend the whole day working on Findagrave!)

I have been researching my ancestry and through that effort I finally found the final resting place of my great grandfather and mother, Cas and Cora. They had 3 children, one is my grandmother Rachel Butler Hayes. I never got to meet them but heard many stories. I know Cas died at a very young age and Cora moved into her parents home with Rachel and brother Vern. If anyone has any information on them please contact me. I'm very interested in knowing how Cas passed. A photo of their headstones would be great! Thanks in advance!

I noticed there is a note on the memorial that says Daughter of Ima Hogan, other than that I do not have any info. Thanks so much for your help

Transfer of management of his memorial page is now done. Thanks!
|mick williams||Ralph Nelson Pt 2|
Please note that I have not changed the dates of birth/death on this memorial page as his tombstone clearly reads that he was born in the year 1867, when the obituary states his birth year was 1872. I just left it as is since there is a discrepancy. Thanks!

Hello! I have added Mr. Nelson's obituary upon
your request. If you would like ownership of this memorial page, I would be happy to transfer it to you. I merely saw that he did not have a page once I had photographed his tombstone. I am not a relative. Thanks!
|Eric Jelle||Thanks for noticing Carol...|
Thank you for appreciating Johnnie Dawes (Gause's) beautiful portraits as a woman and a young girl. It is always sweet to hear others compliments on this tiny but key bit of her legacy which she passed down for us to enjoy and share.

Thank you for placing this photo onto my 1st cousins memorial. (Our father's were brothers.) I would love to acquire a copy of the full photo. Is that possible. Also, are you related to her? I would love to find other members of her family. Can you help me in this? Again thank you. Dorene Kulbeth Loveall

Please read this when you have chance.
This list of men was taken from the book of David Henry "D.H." Hamilton - HISTORY OF COMPANY M

Next time you visit William McClain gravesite, can you or will you photographic his headstone?
Find A Grave Memorial# 78479520
Posting on the memorial page says Larry McClain, and when I click on his name to bring me to his profile page, it brings me to you Carol Hoch. Whats the deal with that?
