Do It Now
I expect to pass through this world
but once.
Any good thing, therefore, that I can do
or any kindness that I can show
to any fellow human being
let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.

My motivation is to provide historical records to others. "Pay it forward." If what I've posted helps you in your genealogy or provides you some comfort because you can visit a grave from near or far, then my mission is accomplished and I urge you to help others in some way.

I don't mind if you use my pics for your personal use or even on your genealogy website but say where it came from!! If you save a photo to your computer from, reference and the memorial number, let others know about this website! Without the reference, I consider the image stolen.

I use online and/or hard copy vital records and census records, along with family genealogies and other biographies, data, and newspaper articles to make the memorials I post as complete as possible. If you have any add'l info or corrections on any of the memorials I have posted please use the "EDIT" tab on the memorial to send me a "correction or suggestion." I am most willing - and passionate - to make the memorials as detailed as possible and will create links to family and respond to requests for transfer of management promptly! I welcome your corrections and urge all findagrave contributors to share info; respond to updates and create links :) Again, please use the "EDIT" tab on the particular memorial(s) you are making reference to.

Upon my death I authorize any of my memorials to be transferred to any FAG contributor as they are requested.
[thanks to FAG Cathy Clark for this statement on her contributor page as this is my desire and agreement wholeheartedly - perfect and appropriate]

RE: Nellie Raymond at FL state
Thank you. I am glad you appreciate it.

You have to remember that most of this happen in another time with different laws. The State of FL didn't go into the funeral home and cemetery business...but were forced to do that as there were unclaimed bodies. Many families came and got the body or re-interred it at a later date to a family plot. These are actually pauper's graves.

In 2011, the state had an independent firm from SC assess the situation and made a 200+ page report on each of the cemeteries. It is going to cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to do what they say needs to be done to the cemeteries. Frankly, I would want the money to go to the care of the living who are in mental hospitals.

My thoughts on a touchy subject. Here the link to the web report. Tell me what you think after reading it.

Re: Photo of Sarah (McCloud) Brown's gravestone
Thank you very much for taking and posting the photos you did today of Sarah (McCloud) Brown's gravestone in Rowe, MA.

Did you by any chance notice a stone for a Lucina McCloud or Lucina Sedgwick?

I have visited that cemetery a few times and have been unable to locate her grave.

Are you the Contributor "Anonymous" that has left the note on Emmett's memorial page? If yes, we have a history!
