My grandfather, Asa, was son of John, who was son of Ruben, son of James so that makes us kin. Nice to meet another cousin. Kathryn

I went to the Reese Cemetery today in Battle Creek, MI. 4 of the graves you requested were all at the same site. There are no individual stones from what I could tell. However, there are several Betterly family plots very close to each other. One of them dates back to the 1800's. Your request for Phebe Betterly was hard to fulfill, because there were 2 marked "Phebe" and neither one had the date you stated. The oldest one I couldn't make out the date. All I could read was the name and "died November ???" The date is faint, but I could at least tell it wasn't the one you provided. But it's a family stone (obelisk)and there are two names (one on either side)I can't remember, but I think the other side of the oblisk says Dr. William Betterly. There are also two small stones at the bottom that are unreadable. Also there were two Lucy Betterlys, and since you hadn't left a date, I didn't know which one to get. They are in two different family plots. However I plan to go back soon and wish I would have thought to get all of them, and just let you sort them out. But I'll get them next time. Use the photo I provided however you wish.

only Lovells buried in Vermont per cemetery directory are
Hester Ann ( no stone)
James and Ruth are not buried in Vermont. I saw a note that they lived in Ipava but they aren't in that cemetery either.
Only other Lovells I've found are Williams son John and his wife Mary buried in Astoria.
Dear Sharon, They are also my third great gandparents. I am a granddaughter of James Walter, your grandmother's brother.I have been visiting Find A Grave for a while,although I could never find memorials to post that had not been posted. I have sent you e-mails several times during the years. Thanks so much for the welcome.I hope to visit with you more.Love and Prayers ---ems.

If you have info to add for Thomas Betterley , you can send to me and I will be more than happy to upload it for you.
|Anne Cady||RE: Newell Lampson/Lamson|
We are beyond gardening and almost need a lumber jack. The Lamson stones are completely overwhelmed by a large area of big bushes and small trees. I walked around Jude and his wife's marker for about 15 minutes (I knew it would be close to Newell and Harriet, and I knew it was there about 10 years ago when an inventory was done), but didn't spot it until I got on my hands and knees to get another angle into the "forest".

Hello, Sharon! You are welcome! No problem. I am here to help as much as I can. I hope you will be able to add extra information to their memorials.

Thank you. I don't live near Champaign, but this was the 2nd time I have been able to walk the cemetery while in Champaign for other reasons. I did not have much time and had to concentrate only on the specific requests. I was only able to check about one third of the cemetery.
