I love history and started doing a little genealogy in May of 2006. It's interesting and surprising to learn how much family lore has been shared or dropped between different branches of my relatives. Toss in one ancestor who was a high achiever and his brother, who seems to have lived rather under the radar, both Civil War vets, and paths diverge like crazy. Add some vanished gravesites, a young husband and father who ran out on everyone, lost NARA military records, migration west, and at least one house fire, and you've got enough mystery to last a lifetime.

Its fun though. :-) Drop me a line if you have any of these names in your family: McClellan, Lewis, Alldredge, Richeson, Reddy, Curtis, Woodworth, Shrum, Dodge, Bresnen, Pancoast, Perry, Conlin, Alden, Brazier, Wilmot, Vivian, Reed, Edgill, Patchin, Kellogg, Dixon. I'm happy to share any photos I have.

The Rules: Please abide by Findagrave's stated guidelines and common courtesy. I will not post full obituaries, names of living people (or anyone I suspect is still living), or any material I know to be under copyright. Please e-mail and ask permission if you'd like a copy of a photo you see on one of my pages, and I'll do the same for you. I'm happy to transfer ownership of a page for anyone within 4 generations of you, unless they're also a direct ancestor within 4 generations of me. And even then it might be negotiable. Feel free to ask.

Thank you
Thank you for taking the time and effort to get a photo of the family monument for Elias Chapman in the Eugene Masonic Cemetery. It is too bad a panel in the zinc monument is missing, probably his.
Sincerely, Dorothy Brandner, Eugene Pioneer Cemetery Assoc.

Feel free to post those photos to your ancestors. Glad I was able to help you. That cemetery was a treat to visit and photograph with my family. Have a lovely day!

RE: Headstone - Taylor, Knight
Hi thanks for your message. It looks like I posted that photo on the memorials for Charles and Harry Knight in response to requests for them. But someone (anonymous) later posted the picture also on the memorial for Elizabeth. That was OK with me because they gave me credit for the photo. In any case, I'm happy to give you permission to use the picture on ancestry as you'd like.

Thanks for letting me know if the removal to Resthaven! MANY memorials from the Masonic Abbey were moved after it fell into disrepair and was flooding, but there aren't always records - so it is nice that you found one. I will let the caretaker at Masonic know as well so he can be removed from the burial list. Thanks again (I transferred his memorial over to Rest Haven). :)Jessica

RE: Re: Warren burials by old house
how do I get a site transferred to me where the submitter has closed her site. She put in listing for Thomas Hardin Lawson 23048969 and his wife Elizabeth Warren Lawson 23049015 and now her account has been disabled.

RE: Re: Sam & Isabelle Warren
The cemetery exists in the garden area of the house that Sam owned. The owners at one time had put stones to mark the area. If you visit my ancestry tree under Wanda2. I have pictures of the house. The cemetery is listed in Hickman Co Cemetery listings. Glad to provide any info.
Next time I go to the area will take pictures.
