Thank you for that bit of information. Bernice is my Grandmother. Brenda is an aunt, that i haven't been in contact with since I was a small child.

EARL MANIS
Hello Cheryle,

I just wanted to let you know that this Earl Manis, was not born when you have him. McCarty Funeral Home records (which I have) and his death cert (which can be found on Ancestry) both have him as Eugene, now Earl may have been his middle name or his first name and Eugene his middle I don't know all I can say is what is on the records. He was born June 20, 1904 Madison Co IN died Jan 5, 1913 Stony Creek Twp Madison Co IN to Edward Manis & Ada Lawson. He was buried Jan 6, 1913 in Grove Lawn Cem Pendleton Madison Co IN.

Thanks
Nola

RE: John M Nixon
Thank you so much for that information. I didn't know that. John did have a grandson with the same name so that could explain it.

And I am so glad you do that those broken old stones - I feel the same. And because some of us do that I've actually added or discovered people I didn't have in my trees before.

RE: Harris Linn Tubbs
It was a pleasure, especially since I am related in some manner to most everyone in Keagy Cemetery. Would love to find out more about the Tubbs family. Adametta was a sister to my gr gr grandmother Sohpia S Keagy Mullen.

RE: Charles Hacker
Thank you so much! My grandfather, Eddie, is Charles' grandson. He is now 91. He inspired my love of genealogy when I was 15 years old. Now that I have been doing research for over 30 years, too, he has just passed the baton to me - this past Monday when I visited him in Washington - to continue to put our story together. He will be so pleased. He never used F-A-G - he was very "old school" in his process over the last 50+ years of his research.

I can't wait to send my grandfather a letter to let him know!

Thanks!

RE: Isaac & Betsey (Woodruff) Booco
Just saw your message. Thank you again so much! I believe that it was Susannah Booco (Isaac's sister) that married Daniel Hoppes. There is another Find a Grave member, Claire (you can see her messages on my wall) who also descends from Susannah and Daniel Hoppes. What amazing connections! :)
