RE: Alton L. Jackson
Thanks for your reply. I've begun a Jackson Virtual Cemetery. You're welcome to check it out to see if any of these people might ring a bell.

I appreciate your contribution to findagrave!

Alton L. Jackson
Hi, Mr. Strickland:
Thank you SO much for the grave photo & memorial of Alton L. Jackson. He is my maternal great-grand uncle, the brother of my great-grandfather, Oscar William Jackson. I was wondering if you were related to him. Our Jackson family has annual reunions & would like to reach as many family members as possible.

Thank you again,
Kaye

North Cemetery Dupont Georgia
Robert, I have about 6 generations of ancestors buried in the North Cemetery in Dupont Georgia. I live thousands of miles away from Georgia and until I researched my family never knew so many were buried in that cemetery. Do you live in Dupont? I hope one day that I can visit there. I wanted to write you a note and thank you so much for all the wonderful photos of my family graves. I see you have taken so many photos there. Is the cemetery in Dupont very large? Is there a church there? Thanks Marye

Mary Elizabeth Barber Strickland (1822 - 1898).
Mary Elizabeth 'Barber Strickland.
Mary Elizabeth Barber Strickland (1822 - 1898).
m. Julius F Strickland 1837 - 1910
All the listings I see correlate - naming the same siblings and parents. however if you look at the birthdays -
siblings:
John T 1839;
Malinda Lucy 1846;
Catherine 1847;
Julia 1850;
William W 1853; (have headstone photo)
James Abraham 1860; (Have headstone photo)
Laura 1862.
Mary Elizabeth is shown as 1822 on her headstone

The Meriwether county marriage record show her parents, William Barbour marrying Mary Walton in 1837.

1822 as the birthdate of Mary Elizabeth does not work. I have seen 1842 listed, which makes more sense, and is in line with all the birthdays of those associated with her.

Does anyone have any documentation about her birthday? is the headstone just wrong?

Also, what have you found going behind her - to her parents, etc.

I would really appreciate your help. My mother is Peggy Ingram (1930) , daughter of "Son" Ingram. She grew up in Alvaton.

Hi Robert, I am trying to find my GG uncle that might be buried at Shiloh Meth. Ch. His widow (Mattie Palmer Collins) might be this person. Is there any way you could find out if EDWARD C. COLLINS died in 1910 is buried there? I'm in SC & Would appreciate it if you could find out. A million thanks! HIs widow was Mattie Palmer Collins both of SC & went to Fla before 1900.

Parents of Rufus H(endley) Horne
I'm not sure where you got his parents names but they are not correct.

He was the son of Hendley Solomon Horne (1844-1913) and wife Anna Elizabeth Smith (1847-1929) of Jones Creek Community in present Long Co.

He was a twin to Thaddeus Horne who was stillborn or died shortly after birth.

Anna was a first cousin to my great-grandmother, Charity Annette (Smith) Garrason, and a double first cousin to my great-grandmother, Martha Ann (Hodges) Stewart, all of Rye Patch community in Long Co.
