Bio and Links
I've been doing genealogy for about 20 years. My family is based primarily in South Carolina, with forays into GA, NC, VA, and Europe. My direct surnames so far are Glover, Rountree, Marsh, Jones, Kimbrell/Kimbell, Maxey, Strickland, Rausch/Smoak, Black, Prine, Kinard, Wolfe, and Wilson.

I'm always looking for people with similar interests and new relatives!

I do occasionally take photos of random graves as part of my photographer donations for find-a-grave - usually veterans at Marietta National Cemetery. I add memorials of them if they are not already listed to help keep the memory of their sacrifice alive. I'm thrilled to transfer them to a family member to manage so that we appreciate them even more. Just send me a request.

Hi Marilyn,

Thank you for taking and posting the headstone photo of my great uncle, Joseph D Troglin, interred at Marietta National Cemetery. I am requesting your permission to use the photo for a memorial page (I want to create) that will connect Joseph to his family members. Thanks.

Staff Sergeant Frank Trimaldi
Staff Sergeant Frank Trimaldi was a soldier participating in the invasion of Sicily in July 1943 (operation Husky). He was severely wounded and died of his sustained wounds on 13 July 1943. He was buried in the temporary American Cemetery GELA in plot-grave B-143-161, date of burial was 29 July 1943.

After the war Staff Sergeant Trimaldi was repatriated and buried in the United States.

I am writing a book about the temporary cemetery GELA, and also want to include information and the picture you took of his grave, of course you will be credited.

If you are related, perhaps you may have information/documentation or his picture, any information is more than welcome

Thank you

Thanks, Marilyn! You did a great job with that cemetery. I was hoping that Samuel Glover was going to "show up" in that cemetery with his parents, but Howard Burough may have located Samuel and Mary Plunkett for me. Samuel's will was filed in Edgefield County. I will keep you posted. Nice work!! Fran
