Find a Grave transfer guidelines are:
Transfers go to family members who fall within four generation guidelines. That is your siblings, parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Please state your relationship when asking for a transfer using the EDIT TAB in the memorial. TRANSFERS ARE DONE THROUGH THE MEMORIAL ONLY AND YOU MUST GIVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED, AND YOUR FAG ID NUMBER! "THEY WERE FAMILY," IS NOT THEIR RELATIONSHIP TO YOU. Non-direct relatives such as aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. are not required to be transferred. Also, I could also be related to the deceased and may not make the transfer.
IF YOU DO NOT STATE THE RELATIONSHIP, YOU WILL NOT GET THE TRANSFER.
This is not because I want to keep the memorials myself; this is to get the memorials to the close family.
We make an effort to never to turn down a request to family. We'd like to see them all go to their families.
But again, no relationship stated -no transfer.
Be patient, sometimes it takes a while.
Thank you, in advance, for any data sent to update the memorials, please remember to send the source for the information that you want added to the memorial.

RE: Guffey
Sorry for the confusion.

I made 2 edit suggestions (with the edit tool) for your Elizabeth Guffey's memorial earlier. I sent that message immediately afterwards giving you my sources for said edit suggestions. That is all.

Your profile says:
"Please do not send links or info unless you have source of information and send that source with the info. No source no updates."

I wanted to give you my sources for my edit to your memorial.

Albert Lewis (39255544 ) and Elbert Lewis (155688219)
Greetings from descendants of Elbert Lewis,

whom we believe was buried at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Rome, Georgia.

I request transfer of the Find A Grave memorial 39255544 for an "Albert Lewis," Company A of 8th Mississippi Regiment. It matches the information provided with another Find A Grave memorial (155688219) listed at Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder, Louisiana.

When you look at the collage of military papers that is viewable at the "Elbert Lewis" memorial located in DeRidder, Louisiana, you see the matching military records, which include the spelling error made by Dr. Robert Battey, when he wrote "Albert" rather than "Elbert" on his report.

I am the son of Elbert Nathaniel Lewis, Jr.
I am the grandson of Elbert Nathaniel Lewis, Sr.
I am the great-grandson of John H. Lewis.
I am the great-great-grandson of Elbert Lewis.

Can you tell where in the huge cemetery this small marker is located?

Robert Burton Dickerson's headstone
Thank you for taking a photograph of Robert Burton Dickerson' grave. Since I descend from his son who came to Texas, I couldn't make it to Lafayette, Georgia, myself, but someday I hope to visit the town where my great grandfather, Mark Dickerson, was born.
