I live in Dalton GA with my family and have been an avid genealogists for over 25 years. Semper Fi to all my Fellow Marines out there !!! (1979 to 1991)|
If I have entered a family member of yours and you would like to manage the site, please let me know and I will be happy to transfer it to you. I will transfer ANY of your relatives to you - Aunts, Uncles, Distant Cousins, Etc... If you are requesting a transfer, please use the "Suggest A Correction Form" on the Memorial Page you want transferred. I will transfer any memorial that I am not related to. Please if you have correction or you want a transfer YOU HAVE TO USE THESE STEPS - Go to the memorial - TOP RIGHT - EDIT - ADD A SUGGESTION - add information you want added or link to spouse and parents - you have to list the memorial numbers to link.
If I have entered anything incorrectly, please let me know.
My pictures are your pictures. Feel free to beg, borrow, steal with no intent to return. I take pictures of headstones out of kindness ... not for my ego or for the "numbers."
PET PEEVE: Find A Grave "number" collectors who have no interest in genealogy or family links and refuse to transfer to relatives unless they meet so-called "findagrave guidelines". Shame on you! and... what's up with these "photo copy rights" - you got to be kidding me !!! Why put a photo out on the Internet and then say you have to ask permission. Really....
I started creating a Virtual Cemetery for my fellow Marines and then I came across Pam's "The Marine Corps Project" and WOW – she has been working on hers for a long time. Marine Corps history can be told here, even from the ones that can no longer tell their own stories.
Semper Fi !!!
Another contributor that has a lot of virtual cemeteries for fellow Marines. " Marine Corps – Semper Fi.

|Caroline Feist||Thank you|
Thank you for the transfers. I appreciate your help and all your work on Find-A-Grave.
|DesertChildAZ||RE: TOMMIE (THOMAS) C COKER|
Thanks, he is related but I didn't now him personally and he may have other family who might wish to be in charge of his findagrave listing.

You were kind enough to submit two photos of headstones for Thomas C Coker
West Hill Cemetery
I'm not sure if you can help me...I'm just curious why he has two very different headstones - one traditional and one military - instead of just one? Is that normal? Is one behind the other?
Thomas Coker is my great aunt's husband.
IF you'd like to reply by e-mail, my e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks.

I know it's a huge cemetery...just hoping you might have some idea of it's location. That's OK. Thanks again for the photograph. And thanks for the transfer. BJ.

Thanks! That will make it easier to add anything I find later on, too. I don't 'collect' memorials so would have been glad to transfer him back. Don't you just hate for people to ask for transfers and then not add one iota to it?
|Raquel||RE: Summers Family Members|
That would be great if you don't mind! Much appreciation.

I just want to express my gratitude for the photos you've taken of my great grandma, step-great grandpa, and great uncle's headstones. I've never seen them in person and appreciate your kindness.
