I meant Saron Church was torn down, not Pleasant Ridge. Virginia Ingram would maybe know about Saron. I will try to find someone to get in touch with about Pleasant Ridge.
|Little Calamity||Duplicate pages for James Edward Tyner|
There appear to be two memorial pages for the same man, posted very close in time, with the result that he's listed as his own brother.
James Edward Tyner 132260185 (July 3, 2014)
James E. Tyner 131935870 (June 26, 2014)
Could you contact the other poster and arrange to merge the pages or remove one, to prevent confusion?
|Margaret Webb||RE: Parkinsons|
I was so sorry to hear about Dora. I have sent a message to have her date of death added. I have known the Parkinsons all of my life, went to church with them, and lived next to them for a few years. The only person I can think of to call is Virginia Ingram - her in laws are all buried there. She is listed in Durant phone book. Maybe she will know. I have been to the cemetery many times, went inside the church once before they tore it down. It used to be a popular parking place! If I can help, please let me know.

Not trying be critical, but just trying to help.

Thanks for all your work.
in the Brookside Memorial Park you have Earl Raymond Mars, Jr listed with the dates and obituary of Angel Flores.
|Ilene Murray||RE: Ruby Parrish Elarbee Barlow|
Ann, thanks for responding so quickly. I apologize for getting the name of the cemetery wrong. It was a Freudian slip; we have a Cliff Cave library nearby and some of us were just talking about it in a meeting recently. It must have been on my mind.
Actually, what I meant to write was the Cave City Cemetery in Barren County, Kentucky.
Ruby's parents were Dr. William W. Parrish, a veterinarian, and Annie Lee Coombs. William died in 1919 and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Ben Hill Co., Georgia. Annie lived in St. Louis with Ruby for a while before going to a nursing home in Nashville, where she died in 1956. She is buried in the Cave City Cemetery. Her memorial is 82170292, if you want to link more members of the family.
All my best,
|Ilene Murray||Ruby Parrish Elarbee Barlow|
Ruby Parrish, memorial 24921781, was divorced from Joseph Elarbee by 1930. She subsequently remarried a Mr. Barlow and is buried with her family and with his surname in Cliff Cave Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky. She is not in Georgia, as you have her. If you want to link her to her ex-husband, her memorial is 82170344, but you may just want to eliminate her entirely. I don't think they had any children, but I'm just starting to work on her family. She was my late husband's 4th cousin, twice removed. Thank you!

Thanks for your message. The librarian did not include the date of the obituary for Mrs. Flowers. I will check for the date on my next visit to the Odum Library in Moultrie. Best Regards GBeverly
