Bio and Links
Bio Photo just a History junkie, I have always been interested in the vast collection of history in every cemetery I passed through. Now that I have the time I just decided to try to get pictures of every stone I found in every cemetery I could get to. I have a friend who took photos a few years ago for OKGENWEB. I have noticed that many of the stones that she took photos of were 80 to 90 years old were still in fair shape (readable) but now the stones seem to have deteriorated to the point that they are not readable. I asked a few people what has happened in the last ten years that is causing these stones to decay much more than they did the eighty or more years before? A couple of people have said the reason is "acid rain" makes sense I guess so if that's the case we better get this history recorded. I am not a collector of memorials I just feel it is up to the living to remember the dead and help link the families so others can find there ancestors. The photos I take are posted to be shared I don't care about copyright as long as the purpose is to share with the family members. If there are family members who wish to maintain memorials that I have posted I will be glad to transfer to them as long as it's not from my family. Again I'm not in competition to see how many memorials I can make, it is just an O.C.D. thing (I'm crazy)! If I can help anyone find a long lost loved one it makes my day, I live in Adair County, OK. and will try to help find any grave within 100 miles of my home, good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise!

Say, do you know what the story is on several of the people at Hungry Mountain? These people were all recorded by Tyner as being in "Levi Christie" Cemetery, which isn't on Find A Grave. Thought maybe that was one of the cemeteries they closed for building Tenkiller Lake, but I haven't been around here long enough to know. Thought you might.

RE: Peter Asbill

I cdn't help but notice Frances' message to you. I've worked with her several times. You have Kilgore's among your ancestral lines? My maternal great grandmother was Bonnie Mae Kilgore and her father was Geo. Dallas Kilgore. Are you related to them? If so, I'd like to share information with you. Do you have an ANcestry tree?

Thanks again for the photos. I placed Peter Absill's and Eliza Seabolt Absill's photos on my Ancestry tree and credited them to you. Hope that's OK.
