John Shannon
Thank you for your help Gordon. I have found the death notice put in the paper and John was Catholic. There are three John Shannon's listed on the Catholic Cemeteries Association web site, date of birth and date of death are not entered. Memorials have now been created for them and photo request sent out. Here's hoping for a miracle. Thank you again for your help.

Thank you for trying Gordon. I will have to look into John being Catholic. Maggie was Irish as well, her parents came from Northern Ireland, they were C of I. I think the family attended Christ Episcopal Church in Allegheny. I've sent an email to the office trying to find out if they still have records going back to the 1850's.

Back in those days it was not unheard of to have a mixed (religious) marriage. My Grandparents marriage lasted 68 years and they belonged to different faiths.

Dear Gordon:

I have been having trouble accessing my e-mail and am switching possibly to a new one.

I am truly sorry that I did not get a chance to thank you until now for doing this wonderful thing.

This was my Great Aunt and her son is still around and living in Ohio. I can't wait to let him know.

Thank You!
Like Jacqui,
I as well am on the other side of the world
and you are able to see and touch something,
we can only wonder about.
Taking the time to go out and photograph means
so much to each of us and the memory of those who meant something we are trying to preserve.
Thank You so Much!
Jeff :)
