If you contact me, please take a moment to say hello, good morning, or hey how are ya. On occasion I get "suggest a correction" notices that are brief, abrupt, and unfriendly in tone and seem more like robot communication than actual human beings. It's a personal pet peeve and I don't react well to those sorts of messages. A little simple human courtesy goes a long way with me.|
I research my family history in southwestern and south central Pennsylvania for the most part, although I live in northeastern New Jersey. Counties of interest include Bedford, Blair, Franklin, Fulton, Somerset, Westmoreland, Cambria, Fayette, Washington, Indiana, and others.
PLEASE: If you request an interaction with me, whether to discuss a memorial or request a transfer, please do not be "Anonymous" and not provide any means to contact you. I recently had someone request a transfer but when I tried to contact the person, was told that the submitter was anonymous and there was no way to leave a public message for him or her. I'm not comfortable with this method of communicating. Thanks.
PLEASE: If you write to me via "Suggest a Correction" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide me with evidence in the form of some kind of documentation for any edits you'd like me to make. This is especially true if I don't already know who you are. It's not possible for me to simply accept what someone out of the blue tells me is valid without sources, documentation, proof or some other compelling argument. Sorry to sound like a grouch, but that's just the way my work goes.

I got your message about the Gohn obits. No problem. I don't know when my next trip will be, but I'll add them to my list.
Hope all is well!
|Michael||Re: Geo. W. McQuillen|
Good Afternoon, Michael.
Have a marker image of Pvt. George W. McQuillen to share to your page. I thank you for posting his ordit. Great Info! Handsome saying: "He delighted to live by the side of the road, and be a friend of man". Muster out roster of June 1865 at Harrisburg, Pa. has his name spelling as "McQuilkey" in Co. H, 149th Bucktails (Capt. Geo. W. Soult, commanding).
Best Regards, Michael

Hi, would you also please remove the scanned obituary photos from Reubens extended family please? I added them into the bios. Thanks!
Could you please remove the scanned obituary picture from Reuben Reffner's Memorial# 54836690?
I added it to his bio. Thanks again for the obit.

Thank you for creating this memorial for my great-grandfather John Charlick Hume. Three years ago I previously telephoned Fresh Pond and they told me his remains were not there. Do you have better information? Is it possible to get a photo of his actual spot in the mausoleum? I am out on the west coast and cannot visit in person.
With great appreciation, Mary Cole

Hi Michael! Hey can you do me a favor and pull the death cert off this memorial? I do not post them as that I do not own them. If there is any information I missed on the memorial, please let me know and I will transcribe it. Thanks, Jan

Your welcome. Looked for 2 months on and off. Luckily I spotted who I think is his brothers new stone erected in May for being in the cival war and we counted plot spaces...and there he was. Afraid he had no stone, but found it!
Have a good day!
