RE: Amon Cline
We have no relations to the Cline family, simply volunteers. It is a treasure to have family photographs, Thank You for the offer.

RE: Anna Bjerke's maiden name
Hi Bart,

It is always so much easier when you manage the memorials that you are researching. That way you are not at the mercy of thoughtless managers who take forever and ever to accept edit requests. (Not me, but you know what I mean)

Therefore, I transferred four memorials to you. The two parents, my gal in Saratoga's Madronia cemetery (Hilma Bjerke Hansen), and one more sibling (Emma Bjerke Wirth) that I had located in Oregon (through an obit I found).

I am very curious how it came to be that Hilma Bjerke Hansen is buried at Madronia. Can you try to find out what her connection to Saratoga is? I would be very appreciative. Madronia is somewhat exclusive in that you had to have been a resident property owner to be buried there. She may have had a son or daughter who lived/lives in Saratoga, and that would qualify her to be buried there if they arranged it.

Since I am looking for the history of each person at Madronia, I would really like to know what her history is, and what her connection is to Saratoga. If you are able to get that information and post it to her memorial then you will have fulfilled my quest! With your connections, you stand a much better chance of documenting and posting her history that I ever could. Let me know if you find out anything. It would make my day!

Thank you so much for honoring these lovely people.

Deb

RE: Anna Bjerke's maiden name
Bart, You sir are a rare saint. I honor you. Thank you for preserving this woman's history! You are amazing. You are a good, good person. Her history rests in your hands.

Would you like me to transfer her memorial to you? And her husband, too? I think I have added all the value I can, and it sounds like you have direct family information. I hit a brick wall with her maiden name. I thought it might be Johnson, Tohmson, or Torkelson. I was close with Torkelson but not close enough! Ha!

I came upon this family because one of the children (Hilma Bjerke Hansen 1900 - 1998) is buried at Madronia cemetery in Saratoga, CA. This is a cemetery that I am updating one grave at a time.

I created the memorials of the parents so that I could unite all of the children I located with the sibling that I had at Madronia. I did all of this just a month ago, and then here you come along with this story of this woman and you taking on preserving her history. What an amazing chain of events. Truly amazing.

Would you like the memorials of Anna, her husband and her daughter Hilma Bjerke Hansen? I know they would be in loving hands if I transferred them to you. Let me know.

Thank you for your outstanding contributions to preserving history.

Deb

RE: John Gibson
Yes I am building my tree on ancestry and am sure I have used your tree to help build mine. I don't know if I need the whole book but it would be pretty neat to see. I really don't want to have you go to all that work. I don't have any info from any of my relatives and that is why I am trying to get things done now before all the leads "die". Literally. If you want to copy some of the book I would love anything you could get me. Let me know. Jeff

Thanks for the reply. No I do not have that paper but would love to have it. I am relatively new to the whole family genealogy thing but it has taken me to a whole different level of understanding of not just my history but the history of our state and our country. Sounds kind of corny but its true. If you have a copy of that paper I would love to see it and you can send it to jeff.kozal@gmail.com So how do you know so much about my family? Are you a relative? Take care. Jeff

you can contact the Historical Society and they will get you a copy, they charge a fee though. I don't live there anymore or I would get it for you.

Little Connie Valentine
I hate doing duplicates. Thank you for bringing that to my attention! The Memorial I created for Little Connie has been deleted.
She was a beautiful baby girl! I am so happy you knew where she was buried, and were able to attach her Memorial to her parents. I've become relatively fanatical about that.
Thanks!
