Mount Carmel
Hi Sylvia,

When I was last at Mount Carmel in Robertson Co. I took a picture of a stone that I don't know how to enter in to the website and I thought you might know. The stone says Frances Overton Walton, Barber. It has a comma after Walton, so I'm thinking Barber is a maiden name? DOB was June 28, 1898 and DOD was Nov 16, 1983.

Thanks for any help!

RE: Manners/ McGuire photos
You are truly welcome! Thank you for the compliment on my photos
This is what it's all about getting questions answered. I'm sorry. I
meant to tell you that there is no stone for Robert Manners next to
Clara's. It's no trouble at all that you are asking questions. That is
why I am here. I can only guess that he was cremated and the
ashes given to someone. A friend of ours recently died did not have
a Mass or calling hours or an obituary. The ashes are with his wife
and people visit her constantly

I am very happy to help you!
Thank you
Happy Spring,

Clara Manners, McGuires
Hi Sylvia,

Today I found Clara Manners and rephotographed both Johnnie McGuires with
good results. The overview photo showing them in perspective, is on all their
memorials: Clara, both Johnnies and Mildred Jones. Clara is next to Mildred, so
I am not sure why I had a photo of Mildred's stone but not one of Clara's. It's
possible that's where I took a respite and did not return to where I left off

RE: Photos
Hi Sylvia,

Thanks for the compliments! I love walking cemeteries and taking pictures, although my two teenage kids think I'm a nut! I waited until a pretty day and took a couple more pics of Mount Carmel and added those to the page. Also, thanks for all of the corrections you sent. I definitely want the memorials I do to be accurate.

Thanks again!

Lena Savage
I've added the names for Lena's parents as you suggested. Her father was Thomas J. Savage.

RE: chalking headstones
Thanks, that was quite interesting. I will try that next time. Again, thanks for the link.

RE: chalking headstones
Thank you, I was not aware of this. I was told to use chalk, because the rain washed it off, and that it didn't do harm to the headstones. So, again thank you.

RE: James Hulsey
Thanks Sylvia. It's fine. I can't believe people back then went their whole lives thinking they were born in a year they were not, but almost all of James's siblings birth years are off on their stones or death certificates. Haha. Thanks for your time and effort. It is much appreciated :)

RE: Clara Manners photo
Hi Sylvia,
You are most welcome. Okay. Sometimes messages are missed. I
have a photo of the stone of Mildred Jones and the records holder
has now told me that Mildred Jones purchased the lot Clara is on. I
will find a flat marker there for Clara Manners, I am told. Probably
under turf and that is why I missed it. I will upload the stone photo
for Mildred Jones

Both Johnnie McGuires, father and son, are in this same area. The
records holder does not show them in the cemetery (???)

Go ahead and reinstate the request and I will claim it. There will be
a thaw starting on Wednesday and by Sunday the snow should be
completely gone

You are welcome,

RE: Clara Manners photo
I asked you to email me the obituary of Clara Manners. The obit
may contain information telling me where she is in the cemetery
since associated persons may be buried with her. So far I don't
have a photo of her stone and I have photographed most of the
cemetery, doing many retakes in order to get perfect photos

Photos of both the Johnnie McGuire stones are not very good. A
flower pot too large to move is between them so I need the new
mirror to light them up. Currently there is a foot of snow on top
of the stones and it will be at least another week before I go to
the cemetery and find bare ground

Please reinstate your request and give me the names of persons
mentioned in her obituary
