Regarding sharing of my photos:|
HELP YOURSELF!! Nothing pleases me more than helping people find their relatives, which may even turn out to be me. Unfettered access to such priceless photos and info benefits us all. And it can be hard or impossible to visit the cemeteries yourself sometimes, so I enjoy helping.
Many of you may be noticing that I make a LOT of edits to other FindAGrave Memorials that you may have made. I think that FindAGrave has huge potential to help connect families, including those alive today. In that light, I try to connect and enhance (with data) memorials that pertain to surnames of my own ancestors. This would be Stevenson/Stephenson, McLean/McClean/McLain, McConahy/McConaughey, and others. I have also noticed when I'm doing the research (on ancestry.com), I find people whose FindAGrave Memorial does not show up in a search on ancestry.com because the Memorial does not have sufficient information to be "caught" by an ancestry.com search. I heavily utilize Pennsylvania Death Certificates, the Social Security Applications and Claims Index, the Social Security Death Index, and Veterans records to help fill in the missing data on those memorials. I realize that my edits are numerous and frequent. I don't mean to overwhelm anyone. We are all in this together. It is so wonderful to connect families!
Note: On many of my memorials, there might be a lot more info provided than is apparent from the headstones. This is because I cannot resist the urge to research the people named on those headstones. I will use ancestry.com, newspapers.com, familysearch.org, et al, to fill in some blanks, to make the memorials more useful. This is especially true if the surnames are Smith or Jones. While I have no Smith or Jones in my direct ancestry, I have experienced the difficulty of researching those family names. I cannot pass a Smith or Jones headstone in a cemetery without photographing it!
My favorite location to shoot headstone pictures is western PA, which is where my ancestors all lived after their arrival from Europe. I visit the area often to visit cemeteries and photograph headstones, and will most certainly take pix of anyone whose last name is on the list below, no matter who they are.
I also am fond of photographing any headstones of military veterans and very young children.
If you see a memorial that has an error, needs linked to someone, or that you'd like to manage, please just ask!! The more we gravers communicate with each other, the more accurate the info will be for all.

Why did you try to link Virgil George Stevenson 1898-1910 as a son of Robert P. Stevenson & Edith Jane Groover? Virgil was the son of Adelbert Stevenson & Claire Davis, he is buried beside his mother and sister, Eleanor. He was struck by a train, very sad obituary. Vol. 10 Stevenson Cemetery page 128. Robert & Edith Stevenson's son, Virgil Groover Stevenson died in 1973, they all have obituaries.

Hi Betsy. Would you please delete a message that I sent to you on 12-29-2015 for the memorial for Taitha Stephenson? I included my old email address, and that is the problem. I am now getting bombarded with spam email. I would appreciate it if you would simply delete my message to you on 12-29-2015, as that would fix the problem. Thank you.

She died mar 4 1833, per Adams Sentinel Newspaper and Lower Marsh Creek burial records. Thanks Marilun.

Hi I found you have my husbands Great Grandmother's death certificate on her memorial page at Find A Grave Memorial# 16792005. Was wondering if you might have her husbands Anton Fuchs, Find A Grave Memorial# 16791995? Thanks for the death certificate for Theresa, it has answered quite a few questions the family has had.

I'm sorry this is a late reply...but I apparently missed an email (until now) from you about a correction to Frank's page...I'm just not understanding what you want me to change.

Hello, I'd be happy to add the date of birth to this memorial, just let me know what it is.

|Dave's Graves||Edward Diegelman correction|
Thank you for suggesting the correction to Uncle Epp Diegelman's place of death. I knew he passed away in Fort Lauderdale, but I must have been in a hurry when I was making his profile and automatically entered Pittsburgh! Much appreciated.

Sorry, I didn't see the information. Thank you. Would you like me to transfer his page to you?
