Bio

I was born in Riverside, Burlington County New Jersey and spent much of my first ten years there. My father died in WWII having never seen me. My step-father was in the Navy so we spent a lot of time traveling around. I graduated from high school at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, joined the Navy in 1961, came out to California in 1963 and finally escaped in September of 2020. I have been married twice, have three children and eleven grandchildren. My second wife Sandy and I have known each other since we were five years old and have been married since 2006. I have been doing my family genealogy since 2010 and a member of Find A Grave for over ten years now. I am interested in families in the Philadelphia and Burlington County, NJ areas with last names of Freck/Frech (originally from Germany mid 1800s), Broderson/Brodersen (Denmark), Stecher (originally from Germany mid 1800s) and Hirst, originally from England. Hirst were prominent in the cigar business in Philadelphia. Additionally, I am working on my wife's family, Wetherell and Goodwin in New Hampshire. In November 2020 we moved to Chapel Hill, Tennessee. If you see a picture of a gravestone I have taken and want to use it, by all means copy it and use as needed. If you see a family members memorial that I have created and you would like to manage it, just ask.
