Bio and Links
Bio Photo I use to use chalk on old stones, and was unaware of any damage it may do. I no longer use chalk on stones. If anyone has a listing I placed a stone photo on in which I used chalk, and they want that photo removed, just let me know and I will remove it. As agreed by find a grave, the chalked photo's will be removed as new, readable photo's are placed on the listing.

Again, I no longer use chalk

RE: wilmot truax van vorst
Hi Tom,
Thank you so much for your effort. Vale cemetery website shows listed Wilmot Truax van Vorst buried in I6. Her husband Jacobus/James is buried in Paine-Swift cem Herkimer NY. I know that Peter Truax and Jacoba Van Santvoord Truax (sec/plot/grave I1 F22) are there because I have seen his stone and Findagrave has their gravestone photos and also NY Gravestone project. Rev Cornelius Van Santvoord is buried in a separate grave with a beautiful headstone with a huge amount of info inscribed.Headstone GPS IS LAT 42.807086 ION -73.P27816.He is listed as I1 G21, sec I1g plot G."In memory of Rev Cornelius Van Santvoord born in Holland 1718 pastor of the Dutch Church of Staten Island from... up to 1740. Pastor of Ref D Church of Schdy from 1740 to 1768 The year of his dead aged 55 years" He wrote several books..literary. I took photos a few months ago of the fenced in area re-interments from Dutch Ref Ch. and Rev Van Santvoord gravesites. Caroline Van Vorst Wendell are related family.
Caleb Peek, Gillis Van Vorst etc are buried there.
I can not find Rev's first wife Anna Staats who is mother to Jacoba, Seger, Staats, Anna etc.
Again thank you for trying to help me out.
I have a similar problem at Albany Rural with Harmanus Wendell married Anna Glen re-interned with others in a field Lot 49 stones laying down almost unreadable, but they have a book that the Dutch reformed ch gave listing everybody who was moved.
I'll be coming up shortly. Possibly we can meet if you would like. Marcy

photo of Wilmot Truax Van Vorst sec plot I6
Hi Tom
Would you be able to photograph Wilmot Truax Van Vorst gravesite sec I6? She is in the older fenced in area as are her parents Peter & Jacobs Truax. Please let me know. Also I was amazed to see Caroline and Robert Henry Lansing Wendell area not overgrown with unreadable tombstones. Several years ago it was completely overgrown when I visited. Thank you very much again. Your work is appreciated. Marcy

Robert J Lane.
Thank you so much for your generous attempt to find the grave of our family member. It is so sad when those long buried have their memorials damaged by time and circumstances. This is why this site is so special as these photos these monuments are saved for us and those coming after us. I am very thankful for your continued work and it is an inspiration to me to take more time to save this wonderful history.

Thank you very much for the photo of Alva Lasher. He is buried with his brother-in-law and it helped clear up issues with his wife's maiden name.
