Family history research has been an on-again, off-again hobby for the past 30 years. |
My immediate ancestral family surnames include Nielsen, Biel / Biehl, Pittman / Pitman / Bittmann and Witzke.
Geographic areas of particular genealogical interest to me include Shenandoah County, Virginia; Harrison County, Indiana; Cass County, Nebraska; Wabasha County, Minnesota; La Crosse County, Wisconsin; Framersheim, Germany; Rabenholz, Germany; Oering, Germany and Bydgoszcz, Poland.

I understand that FaG's Terms of Service allow the re-posting of FaG photos to other FaG memorials, but common courtesy dictates that you acknowledge the original photographer in the caption of the re-posted photo. Thanks.

They are relatives but very distant. I've just been spending a few days finding Indiana Death Certificates online at ancestry and found hers.
Thanks for putting that note on.

Thank you for putting their gravestone photo on the website.
I would like you to put a note on that Minnie's death certificate gives her death date as October 23, 1922. Her gravestone says it is 1924.

You're very welcome. Just sorry John's stone was so deteriorated. Chris

Thanks Bob for adding the picture of the headstone for John J Carter & his wife Sarah. It adds so much to the memorials to have a visual or the site.

You are welcome! I'm always glad to fill photo requests.

Good question, I really don't know where I got that maiden name. I'm guessing that another Find a Grave member sent it to me as an edit.
I checked the photos I have of both her stone and the cemetery directory. The directory does not give a maiden name, but her stone does say in German "born Rohe, wife of William Vorderstrasse"
I will correct her maiden name on here, thanks for letting me know

|S.R.F.||RE: Lloyd C Krintz|
I am just re-reading my Find-A-Gravemessages and one from you was questioning whether Lloyd C Krintz was a Private or Corporal. You said the only reference to him was as a "T-5". I looked this up and this stands for "Tech-5" also known as "Tech-Corporal". It was a designation for the Corporal rank in the US Army during WW II.
