Bio Photo I'm willing to take pics at Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, CO. I'm always glad to hear from a fellow family historian, please feel free to e-mail me!

A little history on the Roselawn Cemetery! On the weekends during the 1890's, Riverside Cemetery, now known as Roselawn Cemetery, hired a wagon and liveryman to pick up Puebloans at designated business'. The riders would then enjoy the drive to the country to visit the family graves and to have a picnic. The serene park-like atmosphere still exits today! As you walk thru the cemetery, you can still see carriage stepping stones, where the people would be unloaded. I enjoy stopping in to have lunch, have a walk and watch the wildlife! I drive by this historical and beautiful cemetery everyday!

I have over 40 yrs of gene/family history research to my credit. If anyone needs additional help with CO local genealogy, contact me thru my regular e-mail.

Findagrave has become an excellent site for finding lost relatives! Kudos to all those that volunteer and make the page what it is!

Surnames I research: Husband's family:
TROUTT,WESMER,SMITH,FOSS,NELSON,HARRIS
My family:BRUCE,THOMPSON,HIGHTOWER, HILL,MASON,GAMBLE
and many,many more!

family of Sarah & Samuel Teague.
Would love to enter the other children of Samuel and Sarah. One child I have an approximate birth date and no death date but do know her husbands information. There are a total of about eight children born to Samuel and Sarah. For info purposes: Lennie is the first wife of my uncle Leslie T. Braun. His second wife is the sister to my mother. Any suggestions?

Gary!

SAC
Joy,

I am not sure you are aware of the recent change to the SAC process, but you need to check the NEW "Edit" tab on your profile page. That is where any new SACs are going to appear. I have sent you one or more recently. Thank you!

Bruce Tree
Hello Joy,

My name is Roy Whitsett and I am doing a tree research for my good friends from Church, Joe Wayne Bruce and his wife. I see that your name is associated with several of his uncles in Dyer county and I would love to swap information with you concerning the Bruce family. I have been doing research on my own family for most of my life and and enjoy doing it for others, especially good friends. Please let me know if we can talk about the Bruce family.

Thanks Roy

Hi, thanks for your response - she is related by marriage and she was quite a surprise; in that she is largely forgotten and I have just begun doing research on her and her family. She is a mystery (it is shaping up to be a sad story of an abandoned or divorced first wife) and I would love to maintain her memorial and add info as I find it. Doing so would also help any of her direct descendants that may not be aware of their lineage. So, in long (!), I would love for you to transfer her memorial; and, I will let you know if and when I confirm that any of her children are in the same cemetery. Thanks again!

No, I am no relation and would be happy to turn the memorials over to someone who wants them.

Thank you so very much for the four photos! You are definitely an angel for taking the time to find the graves and taking the wonderful photos of the headstones.
