I have been doing genealogy for many many years and really like findagrave.com. I used to do just my own family but now do cemeteries where ever we go. If someone sees anything that is wrong or if you have anything to offer please contact me as I would be glad to help.|
Use the edit function for transfers. Include your contributor number so I get the right person.
Find-A-Grave guidelines for transfer requests are for direct relatives (spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents). If you are requesting a transfer, please be specific about your relationship. I generally will not transfer aunts, uncles or cousins. I am not willing to transfer my family members, but I will be happy to add information to their memorials.
I have no objection to transferring memorials of your close relatives. Please be sure to tell me the relationship. I will no longer transfer memorials to someone asking for all memorials of a surname to be transferred to them. There are lots of new members requesting transfers who are managing many more memorials than they have posted. Please keep in mind that this web site won't work if you aren't willing to go out and gather information that might help someone else!

|Bees Knees||Neer Surname|
I noticed you has several NEER names transferred to you. And while some people transferred the memorials, some turned you down. If you are related, why don't you link them and fill in their full DOB/DOD etc? Are you trying to get everyone in a particular cemetery under your management or just the NEERs? Just curious. I just finished the entire NEER family (around 60 or so members) but am waiting for an explanation before deciding to send in my hard earned NEER edit updates.

Thanks but I'd like to keep them. They are extended family. Although I don't add many memorials, I care about the ones I add.
|Leon Barton||John Biel|
John Biel has been linked to his wife. You are welcome and have a great day.
|Cecelia McKeig||RE: Durand Obit|
Thanks, Penny. Glad to be of assistance.
|B.J. Waters||Oliver Zordel|
Thank you. He was my husband's maternal grandfather.
|Becca||RE: Peter Sitch|
I just checked my e-mails and I don't seem to have one regarding a Peter Sitch. I'm happy to link him if you could resubmit the numbers for me.
Have lovely day!

Make sure the other member moves their photo of the stone to your memorial. If they delete the other memorial without moving it, you'll lose that piece. :) Glad the info was helpful!

|Jude Kortegard||Re: welcome and guidance|
Penny, thank you so much for your welcome aboard and guidance. Being new, I am uncomfortably stumbling about and do greatly appreciate your help.
I didn't want to appear forward, are you related to the Breeden's? Having contributed so much to Find a Grave, I made the assumption you weren't. My apology! Yes, it would be neat to connect with unrealized relatives. I am just starting to address a long time interest in genealogy. Thank you again for taking me under your guidance on this journey.
|Jude Kortegard||transfer of management request|
