Bio and Links
My mother Betty Burdue Hodge greatly influenced me in my pursuit of our ancestors. My roots are in southeastern and northern Ohio so naturally I have to drive a while to get to any graves of interest. Genealogy is my one true passion! Athens County, Ohio genealogy rocks! Among the surnames I am researching are Cagg, Huddy, Risley, Henshaw, Emish, Nanna, Brandenburg, Glenn, Shack, Eagle, McMillin, Wallace, Thompson, Lewis, Curry, Shively, Burdue, Blazer, Plue, Love, Sowards, Pruitt, Jarvis, McGhee, Hazlett, and all Athens County, Ohio surnames. I will be glad to transfer any memorial pages of people who are not directly related to me.

RE: Varner's in Athens County
If you need help with the transcriptions, let me know and I will try to help. The last pic I sent you was illegible and may or may not be part of the Varner family. Have a great day! - Jim

you are welcome,my daughter was with me, and she cleaned up the marker. This cemetery is overgrown with weeds, bushes growing and hiding some headstones, a very depressing place.

That's funny. You're hoping no one else is around looking at you while you are lying there.

You are welcome. I have walked past this marker many times looking for her and I was finally able to make out enough to see it was hers.

Varner's in Athens County
Hi Debbie -

I just sent you four emails containing pictures of the headstones I found for the Perry W. Varner family. I noticed you had created a tree on Ancestry that they were a part of. The memorials weren't created and I thought if they were ancestors of yours, you would like to set up the memorials and pics.

Hope all is well - Jim
