I have been a part time genealogist for over 8 years and enjoy perserving not only my family's history, but others that are connecting their family lineage.|
My maternal family roots are largely from the areas of Grayson, Bristol, Saltville and Roanoke, VA. I am mostly interested in the Mays and Brinkley lines.
I also have an interest in the Ricks and Morey lines from Moultrie, GA and surrounding areas.
My paternal roots are centered in SW Virginia. My maiden name is Hodge, a line that is mostly from Giles, Montgomery and Pulaski Co., VA. Also of interest to me is the Stanger, Shepperd, Branscom, Mallory, Poff and Linkous families.
Please feel free to contact me if you are researching these lines and have additional information or if I can be of assistance to your research.
I will gladly make corrections to memorials or transfer memorials that I have created to family members if contacted.

Hi, Thank you so much for replying and providing some possible leads to find out where this soldier is buried. I will definitely be checking them all out. Take care. Andi
Hello, I have a question. Is there a contact address or phone number for the Boones Mill Cemetery? I'm trying to locate the burial location of a soldier who died in WWII, Sept 20, 1944 to be exact. If you have any information about how to find out from that cemetery I would appreciate it. Also, is there a Clemons Cemetery near the Boones Mill Cemetery? The soldier's last name is Clemons so maybe he is buried in the Clemons Cemetery. Any information you could provide on that cemetery would be appreciated as well. Thank you for your time. Andi in WA State.

Thank you so very much for your generosity in transferring both Grace Beamer and her sister Mary Bryan Beamer to my care. I have now successfully connected them to family, and as more information comes my way I will be adding to OUR memorials.
Your willingness to share is much appreciated.
With regards and sincerest thanks,
Thank you for the transfer of Alberta Turner's memorial, so nice of you. I greatly appreciate you for creating so many memorials, very helpful. Thanks, Maggie

|Tracy C.||RE: Linkous Family Cemetery|
Thanks so much for getting back to me! I am new at this, just started this week so there is lots of cemeteries I haven't ever heard of. The one I am referring to contains Allen Albert #86124345. I tried to find a link for cemetery but dont know if that option exists. Page only shows pic of a standing Jesus. Tried emailing others that contributed to it but haven't gotten a response yet. Even checked with the Museum. Any help is great and I will check out the suggestion on Walker Mtn. THANKS!

|Ramsey Williams||I want to know more about the Barkers, i am one of Josphine's great grandsons|
I met my grandmother's mother once in the late 1970s (Josephine Barker). She was staying in a trailer behind my great aunt Glady's house in Southern Va. I mainly grew up in Rehoboth Beach. I was raised by my grandparents who lived there. My maternal grandmother is Jessie Pauline Barker, and she is buried in Maryland, along with her husband, Paul Alexander Ruddell, my maternal grandfather. I have been to several Barker family reunions, including one after my grandmother passed. The latest one i went to was in Roanoke, VA, around 1996 or so.
I like your hokie girl. :) My brother went to tech, i went to JMU. Our cousin went to Radford. Please write me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
I would like to share what i know about our past and i would be interested in hearing any history you know.

Hi, I had noticed your name on most of the memorials added to this cemetery and was wondering if you could tell me where it is located. I live in Christiansburg, Va where it is, but have no knowledge of it. Thanks for any info you can give me.
