|Frances Allen Titsworth||RE: Hickory Ridge Cemetery|
There is a map for Hickory Ridge Cemetery on the Hickory Ridge Cemetery home page. But the easiest way that I always went was by leaving Fort Smith on Hwy. 22 heading toward Charleston, AR. Right before you enter Charleston, Hwy 252 is on the left-hand side of Hwy. 22. It runs north for about 4 or 5 miles until it intersects with Hwy 217 on the left (west) and Sullivan Road on the right (east). Turn right onto Sullivan Road and after less than a mile approx. the cemetery is on your right. You can't miss it. Have a nice time. This is one of my favorite cemeteries.

Jacob Jones is my 4 times great grandfather.
His son Thomas is my 3 times great grandfather who was married to Mary Constant. His son Jacob is my 2 times great grandfather 1822 to 1911 who was married to Mary Agnes ? their son George A Jones 1866 - 1950 my great grandfather who was married
to Myra Adams. Their son Thomas Bonner Jones is my grandfather 1889 - 1958 who was married to Cassie Eugenia Caldwell and their son Eugene Caldwell Jones was my father 1912 to 1977.

|Janneane Veger||RE: Hiatt ties|
Sorry my reply took so long!
My source has the same children listed for Josiah and Esther. An interesting note is that Nathan enlisted in the Union army and was a bugler; he was killed in action in the South.
The source I use is called Hiatt/Hiett Genealogy and Family History by William Perry Johnson. It states that Eli married Martha Nelson in Grant Co. "circa 1843 (?)" and the editor suggests perhaps she was his second wife. She must be, since she is listed as 20 years old on the 1950 census, which means she would have given birth to Andrew at 9 years of age, John W at age 14, William Harvey at 16, and your 2nd Great grandma at 18. The first 2 are not likely, the 2nd not impossible, and I see Lorinda died in 1949, when Mary was but a babe. I bet maybe Eli and Martha married in 1853, not 43, but I did not note a birth year for any of their children.
Eli's other children were Frank, Jane, Sarah, Julia, and Lemuel Nelson (probably his mother's maiden name for a middle name, I'd guess).
I'm sorry to report that this book has nothing beyond Mary Louisa. The Hiatts were mostly Quakers, who kept pretty decent records of marriages and of withdrawing from one meeting and joining another - I believe their records are maintained at Earlham College, if you wish to research more. A very distant Hiatt cousin worked in the library there a while back - named Tom, maybe? I can't recall now.
Wishing you joy in genealogy,
|Janneane Veger||RE: Rachel Edwards Williams Hiatt|
Dear Cousin Kay,
Jonathan and Rachel Hiatt did indeed have their third son, named Josiah, whose birth and death years match what you have. My source says he married his 3rd cousin Esther Hiatt, daughter of William and Elizabeth Sulgrove Hiatt. Their children are: Eli, William, Lydia, Eliza Ann, and Nathan. How does this compare to your info?
All of Jonathan & Rachel's children are: John B. (my ancestor), Silas, Josiah, Mary, Jonathan, Lydia, George, Richard, Sarah, Nathan, Rachel, and Martin.
Wishing you joy in genealogy!
