Please visit my new website, Peninsula Genealogy, if you have ties to the Hampton Roads area. I'm documenting obituaries, marriage, birth and death records there, and linking all obits back to findagrave so people can see additional info on their loved ones.|
I have been doing my genealogy for over 13 years now. I started visiting the local cemeteries in my area looking for my relatives. By doing that, I realized how much I like to go there and how I enjoy helping others find their relatives. I am willing to do cemetery lookups in my area (Hampton, VA), so email me if need some help. Will also look up obituaries at our local library. I just love to do research!
I am currently transcribing and posting pics of cemeteries around Hampton VA. I have completed most of the smaller cemeteries (less than 1000 graves) and a few larger ones. I'm hoping by doing all this, it will make it easier for many people to find their loved ones.
My maternal grandfathers family was from MA (Mackay, Martin, McGlew, Traill)
My maternal grandmothers family was from VA, NC and PA (Gildner, Broadstreet, May, Bridgland, Smith, Arnold).
My paternal grandfathers family was from WY, NE, WI and SD (Allman, Caddy, Simons, Carberry, Rogers, Stuart)
My paternal grandmothers family was from CA, Washington, DC and OH. (Ehrmantraut, White, Gerhold, Dolph).
My husbands family is from NC and SC. (Orr, Malone, Boone, Clement, Mckay, Stewart, Vaughan Garrett, Hatchell).

|Jerry Stremcha||RE: Jess Calloway|
Thank you for transferring John Calloway. I am not related to the Simons family.
|fultonquest||RE: allman family|
Thank you for your quick response. Sure wish someone had some information for us. Maybe someday. We spent part of the day at the cemetery. Saw the graves of the Allmans and the Perrys next to each other. Sure wish they could have told us their connection (other than Leaner being a Perry). Maybe I should visit the mediums in Chestrfield indiana! Thanks again.
|Anne Critcher Clark ||Transfer Request|
I would be sincerely appreciative of the transfer of the graves of my 3rd great grandparents (Kennon Whiting # 14633339) and Ann Wythe (Mallory) Whiting # 14633347) to me. Find-A-Grave member 47523650.
Are you related to the Allmans in Indiana? Levi settled in Hamilton county Indiana and then his son John Allman in Madison county Indiana. I am asking because my husband's great grandmother Jennetta Perry was raised by Levi and Catherine Allman. Her birth was not recorded so we don't know what Perry she came from. I was hoping you might have a shred of information that may be useful to us. Thank you for your time and all the good work you do.
|Erin Levack Nijmeijer||Lillian Karotkin - Memorial # 17486126|
I have been working on the Karotkin family and have so far added Lillan's father and grandfather. I am hoping to add/find some more members. If you would link her up, let me know ;-)
I would like to have her connected to her family.
|Wiregrass Irisheyes||ARNOLD In Ware County, Georgia|
I know you didn't ask, but I've transferred two ARNOLD's that ended up here in Ware Co, GA to your care. Hope that's OK.
Thank you for all your contributions here on FindAGrave.
Have a blessed day.

Thank you for photographing the grave of Thomas C. Jones at Hampton National Cemetery. Thomas was an Engineer with the US Costal Artillery Corps who died in 1914 at Fort Howard, MD where he was stationed. He left a wife and three young children, one of them my grandfather. I have not had the opportunity to visit his grave.

Sorry to be so long in replying, but my father has been in the hospital.
You had asked for me to call the cemetery office to get the plot location. I just tried and their is no answer, however, I noticed this note on his memorial page:
buried in section 3.
