Please, please, please log into FAG and send SACs for corrections and requests. I am happy to make edits. I love a correct database. But if you can't look up the number of the memorial, I don't know who you want. If you don't log into FAG before sending a SAC, if you are a member of FAG, I don't know your number. I get 2 or 3 requests for corrections a day and I am getting to be unwilling to do the minimal amount of work it takes to locate the memorial and the contributor's number.
I will be happy to transfer a memorial to a relative. Just ask using the edit button, and then the "Suggest a correction" tab (SAC). I also give you permission to use any photos I take for other geneological purposes, such as posting on ancestry.com, etc. You do not have permission, however, to use it on a duplicate entry that you made.
Just a note on photos: Pictures taken at the National Cemetery were taken during overcast days, which works better with my camera. Also, if you want to see a larger picture, click on the Photos tab at the memorial and you can read the enlarged one.
As another side note about photos, I took many photos straight on and found my reflection in many of them. I had to delete those and retake them. This is true for black, grey and sometimes red stones. That is why I take photos from an angle. Also, the pictures uploaded have to be 750 KB or less (600 x 800), so they are small. If I've taken a bad shot, just send me a SAC when you've uploaded a good one and I'll delete mine. I hate the ones with loads of bird doodoo, but something is better than nothing, and I don't clean the stones.
This from FAQs: Can I add an obituary to my interment listing? You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published. Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record. Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright. Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

 | Julianna Thruston Many thanks for fulfilling my photo request, it is very much appreciated. The bottom photo you took is for her son, Julian Hughes Thruston, and if you could put it on his memorial, #109569603, rather than hers, that would be great. | | | patrick riley
