Would you like me to transfer all the Shanks and Parson from the Saint Johns Cemetery to you. There not related to me I was just appalled what the church did to that cemetery, and wanted to document every one there.

That's just it, I am not getting paid one red cent to restore these records. The churches just take them with an insincere "thank you" and then benefit enormously from my arduous work. But what really gets my gourd is Ancestry.com copies my ledgers and then wants to charge people $100.00 for a six-month membership in order to use what I intended to be free. Google "Saint David's Protestant Episcopal Cemetery" (look for the one in Manayunk NOT Radner, PA), then look for "Find-a-Grave." Now, once you are at Saint David's, enter the name of "Phillip Gagle." The illustration of a ledger page on that memorial was taken directly from one of my restored ledgers, which the Historical Society of Pennsylvania had microfilmed. Ancestry.com scanned their microfilm and now passes my restored ledger of that burial ground, off as an "original" simply because I used an 1890 Spencerian script, once taught in the Philadelphia Public Schools, as my handwriting. All of this boggles my mind because I had no idea that all of this was going on until I asked the Find A Grave member where she had found the ledger to copy the page she placed in her memorial. So, be forewarned. What you do may be misconstrued as an unintended forgery. jcm.

I was wondering if you were related to the George Graham in Pennsylvania you posted a picture on find a grave. I am related to Emily Ann Graham placed there...

ANSWER: I am the "foremost" local historian of Roxborough-Manayunk according to the Philadelphia Historical Commission. As such, it is my job to restore burial ground records lost to fires during the 19th-20th centuries. To date I have restore the following:
Roxborough Presbyterian Churchyard, 1819-1919.
Saint David's P. E. Churchyard, Myl., 1832-1919.
Saint Timothy's P. E. Churchyard, Roxb., 1863-1919.
Saint John-the-Baptist R. C. Churchyard, 1860-1944.
Leverington Cemetery, Roxb. (2 vols.), 1870-1884.
The last two are still under construction and are therefore incomplete. I have entered extensively F-a-G entires for the Roxborough Baptist Church, Roxb. Presb. Chyd., & St. David's, Myk. So the entry that you refer to is possibly in one of these chyds. No "pictures" were ever attached to any memorial that I created, but I did attach a Death Certificate in some. I have no relation to those entries and I do not intend to enter anymore in future. -- jcm.
PS: George GRAHAM is an 1874 entry found in the restored St. David Burial Ledger, Mrk. Hope this helps.

Hello I saw you have two ancestors buried here. I think my great grandfather George Robbins is buried here. I can't find out much about it. Do you know where exactly it is located? or who manages it?
Thank you for any help you can be. Mary Lou
|Brad Whitney||RE: Thank you|
You're very welcome, I'm glad I could help. I also posted pics for Henry and Jane.
I transferred all the Masons I manage in Philipsburg. If there are any of the women who married & have a different last name let me know & I will transfer. I encourage you to look at Amaretta Mason's memorial. I was drawn to it not knowing anything about her so I photographed her marker. Later I discovered an old obituary. She had no children so nobody would be looking for her. Her husband went on to re-marry but I do not know if he had children with his second wife. Sad but sweet story.
Take good care of everyone,
