I just had my 65th birthday, <-----updated 2012. I like genealogy, and the many visits to cemeteries that I have done in my research of family history. I love photography, and have thousands of photos on Flickr.com. I like true mysteries when they have some chance of being solved. Like right now I have a picture of a headstone for Owen Masterson, but I don't know where the headstone is. Someday I will find out I bet. Note Added a couple of hours later: I found it right away! I added two pictures to it. It was the 2nd name I looked for and I found both people's headstones within a couple of hours. How cool is that? My thousands of photos I mentioned are not all of cemeteries and headstones. They include family, horses, dogs, cats, scenery, particularly waterfalls and woods, flowers, sunrises, sunsets, and nearly anything that is legal, interesting, pretty or all three. I have a granddaughter, and I love her to pieces, as well as her mother, my daughter. I also have a son. I like sightseeing, exploring old roads. I like Crime Shows, both the fictional and the true ones. I live in Oregon. | |

 | John F Sapp 1878 - 1941 This John F. Sapp (1878 -1941)is the son of John F. Sapp (1834 - 1896) and his mother is Endora (Trask) Sapp (1853 - 1923). From what Larry Sapp,1st John F. Sapp's grandson, has told me, it is true John Sapp did donate the land for the cemetery. At this time I'm not able to find a headstone for the senior John F. Sapp. Thank you for the photo of the 1st John F. Sapp's headstone. Deb | | | BB

 | Locke Cemetery Hello, I was at Locke cemetery today as I had claimed Willie Brinkley's grave. I wanted to let you know that I had taken photos of the entire Brinkley family as well as overview photos. I saw that you had claimed two of the Brinkleys, if you'd like I can upload the photos I have taken. Best wishes fellow findagraver,

 | Mary (Polly) Betts Jones Polly is Nancy Green's mother. She is buried in the John Green Cemetery in Burnt Corn, AL next to her husband Thomas Palmer Jones. John and Nancy (her daughter) are also buried in the cemetery. I have added a new picture to Find a Grave. I am the secretary/treasurer on the John Green Cemetery Preservation Association. During this past year we have completed substantial restoration in the cemetery -- cleaning restoring headstones, GPR study to locate missing graves, historical and information signs, installation of an observation shelter/bench. The signs and markers on the missing graves will be installed soon. We received a grant from Alabama Historical Commission and donations from family members.
If you would like pictures, provide contact info. It's best for me to mail pictures.

 | RE: Tam Brooks (mistake) - Lilla Brooks (correct) Hi Delina You are welcome for the photo, just wasn't sure it was the right headstone. Glad it worked out. The headstone itself is broken off & on the ground, hope it doesn't get covered by dirt & is lost forever. I was unable to find anyone with a map of the cemetery so I walked it row by row. When you pull up to the cemetery there is a walk thru gate, take a right & go to the corner & the marker is there. Good luck in getting all this transfered to you. Barbara | | | Barbara Kimbrell
 | Tam Brooks Hi, My name is Barbara & think there may be some mix up on a request I just fulfilled. I want to make sure I have the right photo for the right person. Listed in the research is Tam Brooks d: 1876..the headstone I found & posted reads: Lilla dau. of Tam & Dora Brooks..Died Dec.5, 1879. Could this be the same person? Thanks Barbara | | | | [View all messages...] |
