Hello Tracy,
I am hoping you might be able to help me with some information. I think from my research that we may be related. My grandfather was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1926. His birth certificate tells us his parents were Hugh and Bertha. We always thought it was Caldwell. As I have been looking at recent family photos on Ancestry I feel now it was Cardwell. He was 2 years old when he was given up for adoption. He was adopted by John and Stella Johnson in South Dakota in 1928. The story goes that Bertha would visit as often as she could, even after the adoption. But then grandpa's family moved to Missouri and all contact was lost. I have been trying for some time now to find his birth family. If you have any information or would be wiling to help me I would very much appreciate it. You can contact me at frankcbest@gmail.com
