Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in tracing my family roots. Like most of you wished I would have started many years ago.
My family on my mothers side is the Foster/Egloff. The Fosters came from Trigg County and Hoplins Co Ky. Nathan Foster and his wife Fannie aka Mary Peeler Foster had four children. I have never been able to locate where my great grandfather was buried as I was told he left my great grandmother to raise their four children.
The Egloff side is m mothers maternal side of the family They were Charles Egloff and Elizabeth Sanders Egloff who lived in Hopkins Co Ky Charles immigrated to the U S from Baden, Germany in the 1860 s Elizabeth Sanfers parents were Parham and Martha Cropper who lived in Davidson Co Tenn. They had eight children and most are they are buried in Davidson Co Tenn.
My great great grandparents on my fathers side were named Cates. Charles Hallet Cates was a Civil War soldier and is buried here where I live. He married Mary Huskey, who was the daughter of Spicey Cobbs and William Huskey. They came from Kentucky and had many children.
My great grandparents on my fathers side was Appie Cates who married Henry Maag. Henry s father was Henry Maag and married Amelia Fischer Maag. They had three sons. Amelia Fischer Maag remarried to Ben Clark and she had four children and moved to California.
Appie Cates Maag, my great grandmother jas a big extended family which I have located many of her family who left the Ky are years ago and live in Kannapolis N C I have linked them on my personal website. I invite you to visit it and see the pictures we are adding
Four years ago we started using Find a Grave and just was out there looking for relatives. It is not a numbers game for me. It found us roaming around in cemeteries trying to locate my ancestors. We have been doing many memorials of people in many cemeteries. If you see someone that is your relative please ask for a transfer. We mostly have been in cemeteries in Webster Co, Hopkins Co Ky Recently we have been doing many Posey Co Indiana Cemeteries. I hope we can make a difference for people interested in locating their family. We long ago decided that inputting names from a book from libraries or other sources are subject to inaccuracy. You have to do the actual walking in the cemeteries to confirm dates and names and families. We take managing memorials seriously. If you want the memorials, you tacitly accept the responsibility of editing them.

Thanks to my husband Milton Yuan for developing my family genealogy website I want to share the link with you www.webclad.com/genealogy It will link my family and ancestors and added pictures that have been collected and shared with anyone interested in the Foster/Egloff/Lively/Maag family

Linked
Linda,

I've linked Lillian to the grave memorials that you done have for Effie & Ruby. You can alway ask
Carl Lansden to delete his memorials since you done them first, plus their your family.

RE: Cates.
Linda,

You may want to check the grave memorials that you've added to Nebo Cemetery. Nebo Cemetery didn't open until 2002. Sammy Lynn was the 1st person to be buried there and he died on July 2,2002. So, if they died before 2002 then they are buried in Union Cemtery instead.Union Cemtery is connected to Nebo Cemtery. Nebo Cemetery part starting at the chain linked fence.

Thanks,
