Bio Photo Genealogy has become my newest addiction!

Taphophilia = an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors.

*********

If you've never taken a few moments to spend time in the cemetery...You're really missing out. The peace and tranquility you find in them. Those that have gone before many times have left a final message on their tombstones. These messages are an inspiration and make me feel humbled and blessed! Go ahead...take the time...walk your local cemetery and read their messages and see how they reach out and touch you! You'll be glad you did! (quoted from another find-a-graver)

THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.

STATED BY A FRIEND OF MINE:

"I am getting more and more confused by this site. If people create memorials with no OR incorrect burial location and I add a memorial for them in the correct location... I am asked to remove mine because theirs was on first; If people post memorials in an incorrect burial location and I post a memorial for them in the correct location... I am asked to remove mine.
It seems like there are many rude people on find a grave."

MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY!!

"When I go to a cemetery, I don't just see tombstones. I see families there. I see history there. I see much more than just a stone..."

RE: Parkhill photo
This is my info from East Lawn to do with as you wish....
Erma J. Blume is married to Edward A. Blume, both born 1939, both still living, and have their stone in place at East Lawn.

Sharon Edward Blume Jr. is not buried in East Lawn according to their records.

I'm going to add a memorial for Alma Muriel Meister Blume to Barlow Cemetery and link her to your Junior.

Thanks for your help and I am putting the Blume Family to bed!!! Jill

Thank for the photo, Anna.

You are doing a great job for FINDAGRAVE.

I added your original Edward Blume memorial back on at East Lawn as I think he might be a son of Sharon Edward Blume Sr....eventhough I thought they were one in the same before the research. I believe Edward's wife is Erma Jean Blume who is buried there. I'm still puzzled about Sharon Edward Blume Jr. though, and will have to find a headstone or get proof at the office that he is there. I got his obit today and it says he is buried in Barlow Cemetery.

All my Blume research began when I was looking for the burial location of my relative, Alma Muriel Meister Blume (JUNIOR's wife) and I couldn't figure out why she was not in the same cemetery as her husband. I finally got the "brainstorm" to call the office and they confirmed that she is NOT buried in East Lawn. Her obit says she is buried in Barlow Cemetery which sounds crazy to me since her parents and husband are in East Lawn.

Thanks to you I can cross Parkhill off my to-do list for tomorrow! Jill

Would you please delete Memorial# 124262273
I realize you made the memorial from the cemetery index but that index was created also using advanced purchased plot info. The person is my daughters father in law and he is very much alive.

Thank you

Milton Sargent Roach (Memorial# 93763561) and Family
Hello. Milton Sargent Roach and his wife are my great-great-great-great grandparents and I noticed that you created duplicate memorials in Mason Cemetery. Could you please delete them?

Also, I have I have Rebecca Jane Mason DeVol as being buried in the Devol Cemetery not the Mason Cemetery and from what I can see the stone you uploaded to the duplicate memorial you made does not say her name. What makes you believe she is buried there?

Steward
on the memorial for Benjamin Edward Steward # 114197032 you have his parents listed as John Steward, Nancey Thompson. Can you tell me where you got this information from and do you have anymore on this family. I have his sister Jane's death certificate and it looks like it says Mary not Nancey. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Ginnie

RE: Beebe
Thank you for the obit - that was very thoughtful of you. FYI - I am descended from America through her daughter Ova Woodruff Remmele. Did Jeremiah and America live with Fred Beebe (your ancestor?)? My aunt Myrtle Remmele Sprague - America's granddaughter spoke often of Fred Beebe and made it sound as if they all lived together - or would it have been just nearby?

Thanks again!!
