Currey Michael and Elizabeth
Hi Cindy 😊 I also have a photo for Elizabeth located to the left of Michael. Working on the photo clarity as her stone is tougher to read. I will go back and pour water on in with the hope of improved contrast. They both have interesting inscriptions at there bottoms that are tough to make out. I'm interested in what they say! I will post she complete. I am 5 min. from them so it is with easy I access them. Any other relatives in the surrounding cemeteries please post photo requests. I am happy to help with your family tree.

Hi Cindy
I've just about wrapped up my research on John R Chaplin's family. Just can't find anything on his daughter Ethel after 1900. Do you have anything? I tried to put most of my research on Family Tree on, since it does docs and photos, etc. Most importantly, it is FREE! They actually have about as much as ancestry (who got most of their stuff from familysearch). I think they actually have more vital records than ancestry, certainly marriages. Anyway, if you want to check out what I've got for the family, so far, go to and register, then "find" John Riley Chaplin by ID # KZBV-VZ3

Well, Cindy, since you are the official genealogist for the Chaplins, I'll ask you this. Why is baby Frank 1876-1877 listed as a half sibling to Grace R Chaplin? The parents were married in 1 Aug 1875 according to the Michigan, Marriages, 1822-1995. I just posted the image from on my tree on ancestry if you want to add it anywhere.|pgNum

The "Ella" for his mother is what the 1900 census transcribed for Emma. It actually does look kind of like "Ella," but it is obviously Emma.
Where did you find a record of Frank?

RE: Judy and Mary Tufford
I do not recall submitting any changes to dates??? Odd. I usually just request edits to plot locations as I discover them........Please leave as is. I trust your info. far more than whatever request you have from me.

RE: Grave Memorial# 95086752
Hi Cindy,
Chaplins are connected to my husband's family (how many wives do research for their husbands?!! Lots, right?). My husbandís grandma, Willie Rosalie Rippy, married Marion Winfield Overhulse in 1960 after she had outlived her previous husbands. Since Marion was the grandpa that my husband grew up with and Marion had no children, my husband kind of adopted the line. Marionís uncle, John Margrove Overhulse married Emma Strobridge Chaplin in 1909 after her husband died in 1906.
So, no blood connection. I just love research and putting families together with sources. That's my thing, like findagrave is yours (for which I'm very grateful!)
Wow, that's an impressive article you added to John R Chaplin, Grace's father!
Anyway, thanks, Illona

Find A Grave Memorial# 95086752 Grace R Chaplin is the correct version and you could add the death certificate from the incorrect following memorial to it.

Find A Grave Memorial# 87261455 Grace R Chaplin is a duplicate and the death certificate shown, is transcribed incorrectly.

It should read
Birth June 1, 1883 (not 1893óhave to look very closely)
Death is Feb 7, 1902
(note her age is 19, not 10 and she is a college student.
Read the obit and the tombstone on # 95086752
She is in the Washington State Census in 1889, as a 6 yr old
and in 1892 as a 9 yr old with these parents.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SERVICE YOU GIVE! As a researcher, I appreciate it greatly! Illona Jensen
