|Bio and Links|
I am a southern Pennsylvania resident and have been doing genealogy for more than 20 years, primarily on my mother's family. Her maiden name was Comer and she was born in Grayson County, VA. My sister, Linda, and her daughter, Shari, help me by taking many of the photos of the grave markers/stones and adding them to this website. They are a tremendous help to me. |
If you would like for me to transfer to you any of your kinfolk that I have entered, please click the "EDIT" tab at the top of the memorial, then click "Suggest a Correction, etc." and, after entering your request, click "SEND". Find-A-Grave will then automatically email me with the memorial number you requested and your contributor number included. It is not necessary for you to type those numbers in if you use the EDIT tab. BTW, I am not too fussy or nitpicky about your relationship to the person you request since it's hard for me to fathom that you would want to manage the memorial of a person who is not related to you. I would like to think that your intentions are good and honest. So, with that said, I would be happy to transfer anyone as long as I am not related to him/her/it also.
Incidentally, please do not send the names of children to be posted to the bio of a memorial. It creates an additional burden that is difficult to keep up with. I will, however, link any family members if I am able to.
Also, most of the memorials I create are from the individual's death certificate. I post only the basic data that I find to include the person's full name, full birth/death dates, where born and where died, the name of the spouse(s) and the cause of death, primarily if it's accidental. I realize the info is not always accurate but at least it's a start. I will not post the death certificate to the memorial since I consider them to be relatively private and personal. There are often words and descriptions on the forms that I'm sure the survivors would not desire to have publicized.
Btw, I have found that the death dates listed on the certificates are generally very accurate and if they're off, it's usually only by a day or two. More often, the grave marker is in error when there is a conflict with the death certificate.

|Marcia Lynne vonGunden||Another transfer and another thank you|
Hello again Rich,
Thank you as always for your continuing help in "reuniting" my family members
The transferred memorial;
Willie A. York # 47621228
has been updated to include his parents and three of his eight siblings, his wife and soon, I hope, his five children.
I will be adding to OUR memorial as I get new information.
With appreciation as always,
|Laura Kessler Hershey||Nathan or Nathen Zepp|
I checked on Ancestry and all his records have his name spelled Nathan. The only place where it is Nathen is his head stone. I am going to change it to Nathan and add a note saying the headstone is probably wrong.
Thank you again, Laura

Thanks for the correct information on this young boy. I often see the headstone's with the wrong information on them. Thanks again for your work!! Take Care, Laura

Thank you so much for the very quick response in transferring my great aunt Matilda Wallace and her son Russell Wallace.

Thanks for handling this so fast. You are more than welcome for the photo. That was quite a hill to climb up. I wish I had found the cemetery closer to memorial day as I am sure it would have been mowed. That's life!!

You just made my day! Thanks so much for the transfer!!!!
|Debbie Hartman||Mary Snyder|
Just went and looked at the picture of the headstone for Mary Jane Snyder. It has the death date of July 9,1952. Also, her obit has the 1952 death date. Don't know where the other date came from. Thanks for catching that.
