I live in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and started my genealogy hobby in 2008. That lasted for less than a year, and then I started again in the winter of 2011. I'm not a professional, but monitor, and have volunteered to answer some easy questions and requests for Medicine Hat and area. I'm a member of the Genealogical Society of Medicine Hat, here in Canada.|
I am attempting to place all my family tree research on the computer.
I love to see the photos on FIND A GRAVE, this is why I like to help with this web site. I was happy to see my grandmother's biography that someone else had made up, thus I was hooked to add the rest of my family and help others with theirs. So it's not my fault that I've become obsessed with the family history. I have a need to connect the dots. I am happy to be a part of this great web site.
My grandparents would of had a field day with all the information that is at our fingertips today? Many thanks go out to all the volunteers through the various groups, like Find A Grave that give their time to help put the family puzzles together.
Names I am researching: Harnack/Harnock or Harnick, Bennett, Court, Henry, Housley, Winslow, Proudy, and . Shields

Thanks Dean. I understand the weather and the time. I have requested them, so whenever. I have been thinking about making a trip up to there and western Sask. to check other cemeteries farther north. Maybe in the spring. Thanks again for all you do.
|Greg Matthews||RE: Hillside Cemetery Blossoms|
Hello Dean: Thank You Very Much for the update. I'm very much looking forward to the photos. I would imagine that both time and snow would be a factor - this genealogy can be so consuming. Take Care, Greg.

I will be glad to go and check this out --- in the spring. Right now everything here in Edmonton is covered with snow --- no finding grave markers now! Just send a reminder in spring.
|Carl and Judi||Paisley|
I just added photos for Andrew and Elizabeth Paisley at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Modesto. James Paisley is also buried there. Not sure whether he's a relative, but I did add a photo for him as well.
|Deb||Bennett - Lake View Cem, Stettler|
I made a trip over to Stettler this weekend, and just wondered if you had Bennett relatives in the cemetery there? If so, I have 4 headstone photos for you.

|John Quiring||John Edward Tracy|
Recently I posted a picture of John E. Tracy's marker for you. I did not find his wife's marker (Maria Boblit Tracy Forbes until today. The Tracy stone has a mulberry bush growing around it and under the lower branches were two small markers with faint lettering FATHER and MOTHER. I assume that these are John and Maria. Anyway, if you are related or know someone in Nebraska who is these grave sites could use some attention.
|Sue Tanner||Richard shute|
Hi Dean, so I was at Fairmount today and asked the lady there for location of Richard Shute. She did not have that name. Any ideas? Are you sure he is buried there? Sue
|Cousin Bob||RE: Ida Helm & Gottlieb|
They are located in Saint George's Parish Cemetery in Irvine. I added several photo requests to that cemetery. These are the last names: Schaffer, Hausauer, Deering. Also some of these last names are in Hillside in Medicine Hat. I really enjoy this hobby and I hope you are having fun with it too. Any help would be appreciated.
|Fay Carmichael||RE: Web Site|
Thanks so much for the link - wish all cemeteries were so organized!
My grandmother's cousin married A.A. Reilly's brother in Derry; then he died five months later in WWI. Almost all their siblings on both sides immigrated to Canada, including my grandparents.
