|I've been ancestor hunting since 2005. I particularly enjoy linking the histories of my ancestors with pictures of them, their families, gravestones, and places where they lived. |
The family names I have been tracing include: Harris, Kaveney, Handley, Slagle, Reed, Talkington, Taylor, Acock, Blanchett, Bland, Morefield, Stevens, Henderson, Barger, Wiseman, Armentrout, Cockrell, Logan, Vardeman, Hardin, Ellis.
Most of my ancestors have been in America since the early 1700s. Many lines worked their way west in VA, then moved to NC, KY and TN, pushed farther west to MO and AR and finally went by wagon train to CA. Several other lines arrived in PA and migrated west to VA, WV, OH and from there by wagon train to MO and then CA or by train to WA or ship to AK.

I have transferred Elizabeth Handley # 127405462
to you since this is your family member. According to my records she is the wife of Samuel.

I have linked Ray to his wife Carol Schmeichel Tuck, who is buried in her hometown in Wisconsin. I also added a nice photo showing them together in uniform during WWII.
My dad was her first cousin so I have several photos of her but only the one of Ray but it is a good one.
Are you a relative to Ray? If not too close, might you consider transfering the management of his memorial to me?

Sandy, Just an FYI for your information. My genealogy records show that Philo first married Lucinda Hicks d/o James E. Hicks and Nancy Carlton Haralson of Greene Co, MO. Lucinda died in abt 1879 in CA but all the records I have. Charles was son of Lucinda and Philo. Philo later married Louise Hackney Campbell according to census. All the records I have say Charles middle name was Philo but of course he could have changed that. Just for you to consider
