I have been searching for genealogical information on my family lines since 2001. With the help and kindness of several distant researchers I have gained many branches of information on my African, Indian and French ancestry. I am hoping that posting and contributing additional pictures and information to this site will help to find more relatives, information and branches in my family's rich history. I am searching my Alexander, Babineaux, Brown, Durham, Redden, Richardson, Taylor, Worship/Wisherp, and Wright family lines.
I send my sincere thanks to all of the Find-A-Grave community members who have left notes and flowers on my memorials, and to all of you who have helped to soothe my spirit by finding and posting pictures of my beloved family member's final resting places. Your acts of kindness are deeply appreciated. | |

 | RE: Jimmy Pugh Grave Directions to the cemetery: Coming South on I-65 north of of Mobile, take Exit 22 (Creola). Take immediate right (Dead Lake Rd.) at brown Mobile Delta sign. If you're coming from the south, take exit 22 and turn left across the highway then take immediate right at the brown Mobile Delta sign. Continue on for a few miles and when you see another brown Mobile Delta sign, keep going straight past it (do not take the sharp right turn). Continue until you see "Little St. Louis Church" on the right. The cemetery is behind it. There is no car lane going back to the cemetery but drive on the grass at the right side of the church. Your Jimmy Pugh & family is in the last row, center rear of the cemetery. Do not depend on Google maps. I'm continuing putting more memorials and grave pics in that cemetery and will be going out to take the last of the pictures. | | | gosaraland
 | RE: Jimmy Pugh Grave Hi again...happy to do it. As soon as I can, I'll put directions to the cemetery. Google Maps has it wrong. I saw that this cemetery has little info so with the caretaker's help, I found it and went out yesterday and took many pictures. I already have many of then posted to findagrave. I'll finish adding them today then a soon as I can, I'll go back out and take the rest of the pictures. I got tired before I finished. The cemetery is located behind the "Little St. Louis Baptist Church. It's in an open area that's easy to access. Problem was when I went day before yesterday to scope it out, I saw no lane...it was just grass and I was hesitant to drive on the grass do I parked on the parking lot and walked back there. Yesterday, the caretaker told me where to drive over the grass. He takes great pride in the cemetery. Next time I go there, I'll take a pic of the church with the cemetery in the background. Check out findagrave for more of your kin's grave pics. | | | gosaraland
 | Jimmy Pugh Grave Hi Micki, I contacted the caretaker, Mr. Jones to go out to the cemetery. He tells me that he knows the familys buried there. The cemetery is very well-kept. Mr. Jones said that the cemetery used to be a mess but he seems to take much pride in it. He even gave me a copy of the funeral program for Mr. Pugh which includes the obit. He told me that others of Mr. Pugh's family includes Lovetts and Colstons. I took pics of as many graves as I could out there but need to go out there for more. Meant to get another pic of the Pugh/lovett/Colston family plot but forgot to go back for it. I intend to keep working on that cemetery but it will take time. Will be adding a little at a time. Sincerely, Pat Sagerl...Satsuma, AL | | | Lee Manning
 | Tillman Taylor gravesite Micki You are correct. The stone is very hard to read. His name is hand-scribed in the upper left hand corner of the border stone. I had even missed it the first time I went to the cemetery to look for it, but my determination made me go back another day, and I finally found him. I have two original photos that I will be glad to e-mail to you if you have high-speed internet. The pictures are about 1.5 meg each and a dialup connection usually can not handle a file that big, but should go ok with high speed connection. Let me know if you are interested in them.
