Bio and Links
Bio Photo Researching my family tree got me started on Findagrave. When I realized so much of my family was not connected or added, it became a passion to add & connect my family members. When I started adding family members and would then request pictures, it made me so happy to see them live on this way. My husband decided he would like the same done to his family, so this keeps me busy. Now, we have even progressed to jumping on the motorcycle to go on a hunt for the requested pictures for other people. We are researching the Abernethy, Ashley, Bryant, Conner, Edwards, Farmer, McManus, & White but, of course, they branch off and it looks like we are related to everyone.
God Bless,
Vickie & Chuck

Photo request at Forst Lawn West
Hi, I have made several attempts to find the grave for your photo request at Forest Lawn West. The office no longer gives out locations to photo volunteers, and this cemetery has easily over 25,000 graves. Although I do often find graves by hiking around randomly, finding one grave is like finding a needle in a haystack. Please call the office (704-392-2104) for a grave location and email me directly and I will be very happy to go get the photo. Thanks! Traysteph23@yahoo.com

RE: James Ashley Memorial Photo
Hello,

Thank you for the reply. I am not related to James Ashley. I am a photo volunteer for Find A Grave and was out there today attempting to fullfill a couple of photo requests. Unfortunately I was not able to fullfill the two requests Ithat I had accepted at Bonds Grove, which included your standing request for James Ashley.

Today I had also taken with me a list of those other memorials which had not a memorial photo. I was fortunate to be able to get the number of memorials without photos reduced down from 27 to 14 memorials. In addition I added a few additional memorial photos to existing pages, including other Ashleys, such as Phyllis M Ashley and her father.

On a side note of the Cemetery, I did make note of an infant grave for a Robert Chapman. And additionally 4 memorials with the inscription "Unkonwn", in adn around the same vicinity of other Chapman memorials.

Here are the photos from today for your use.

James Ashley Memorial Photo
Hello, I apologize, this is a resend as I pasted incorrectly just previous to this message.

I was at Bonds Grove UMC cemetery today, I did not see the memorial for James Ashley. I could follow up with the church though thought I would ask you first if you may know of the memorial specifically.

RE: Thank you!
I have found something interesting and spoke with someone and found out I knew her at that cemetery, Bethlehem Methodist Church's cemetery. I found that the pillar type headstones had been placed in the center of a family plot and that the "others" buried were placed like one on the top, bottom and one on each side, from the stone and their names were put on each side as to where they were buried. Now her husband's name is not on Mrs Ashley's marker like I expected and I wondered if someone did not think to pay a carver to finish it?
