I've always loved visiting old cemeteries and I am also a photographer. I just recently discovered there is a name for this: Taphophile!|
I discovered FAG over a year ago and have found so many of my ancestors' graves here. Most of which are in other states that I would not otherwise be able to visit. I love this website and have dedicated myself to some of my local cemeteries. I build memorials for those who don't already have one and add photos to those that already exist. I feel that each of these individuals deserve an honorable place here. There are so many long lost and forgotten people buried here, with stones so worn there is nothing left to read. I make it my mission to identify these people and put a name to their gravestones. And if a family member happens to find a loved one because of my hard work, then I feel my mission was a success!
I will transfer memorials to those that are direct descendants. My photos are available for your personal use such as adding to your Ancestry tree. I feel that anyone can visit a cemetery and take a photo and therefore it is not important to me to "claim a right" to a cemetery photo I have taken, especially if it is your family member and not mine.

Would it be possible to transfer Mary Blume to me. She was my GG Grandfathers sister. I just learned about her sad death and I would love to be able to watch over her as best as I can.

No worries! Thanks for letting me know. And thanks for taking the time and energy to post photos for others. :)

I noticed that you posted a photo taken in the McElwain Family Cemetery in Webster County, WV. There is another photo "floating" around of the grave marker for Elizabeth Ann Perrine McElwain with no solid source. Would you have happened to have taken that photo? If so, may I use it for her memorial?
Thank you, Ron

that should have said, "if you'll create one I'll post the photo...."
my brain done outrun my fingers

I hear ya sister. This place can get frustrating with folks who seem to think they are important. They lose sight of the purpose. Sue Pritchett doesn't have a memorial. If you I'll post the photo to it but since you're of no relation I see no reason you would....so good either way!
Glad to help, take care,
