RE: Sir James Clark Ross
Thanks for trying again on my behalf. Will need to read the guidelines. I take on board what you say about Find A Grave being USA biased, but James Ross's discoveries are of universal importance and interest. I know I preach to the converted, but if there is any chance that the censors read this................. !!!

I was curious when I saw that you had four famous rejected. I was incensed when I saw that the famous polar explorer had been rejected. As you correctly point out, apart from anything else that he achieved, the discovery of the Magnetic North Pole was a major leap in aiding accurate navigation. What can I do to persuade the uneducated who rejected your proposal ? How did you find the grave ?

Thanks for input. Sorry I assumed maiden surname was Balfour. Scottish custom is usually to include M S on the inscription.

RE: Beverly Lanning Poole
Thanks for the prompt attention. I didn't inspect closely, just saw the two were alike in the relative list. I appreciate your help.

Hi, I found this gravestone photo today and thank you for putting it online as the Filder are part of my extended family. Please could you correct the name? The stone clearly says Filder, not Fielder? Thanks a million.

I see that you have created memorials in Fakenham, Norfolk cemetery. I am trying to find out if a family member is buried at the Fakenham Cemetery. Mary Gertrude Elderhorst, maiden name Williams, first marriage to Roskell is the wife of my husband's cousin. We have located the rest of the family's burial places but this one eludes us. Her death is listed in the October, November, December 1946 Index as having died in Fakenham. We live in Florida, in the US and would be grateful if you could let me know if she is in the Fakenham Cemetery. Thank you. Barbara Roskell

If you still have the photo, would it be possible for you to upload the gravestone photo of Kate Grace Holland to her husband William who is buried in the same grave?

Sir Gregory Osborne Page Turner ref 16257691
I see you have requested a photo of the grave of the above chap's wife Helen Eliza. I visited Battlesden today and found a stone with Gregory on one side and his daughter Helen Elizabeth on the other - I have uploaded this to Gregory's page - I would doubt that Helen Eliza would be buried at Battlesden as she re-married in 1844 after Gregory died in 1843.
