Hello Anna, wondering if you are still active on findagrave. I have an unfilled SAC for your memorial 102855414. Sent info to add and links to parents but it's possible you never received or was simply overlooked perhaps. Should I resend here or via your email? thanks very much!

Hi Anna! Thanks so much for the transfer of Mabel's memorial. In doing so it has raised questions. Her obit says she was buried in Short Creek Friends Cemetery, Harrisville. However you have her and her husband, Howard, in Friends Meeting House Cemetery, Adena, Jefferson County. Can you confirm your place of burial for them? I can contact the funeral home to see if there was a change of burial site if that would be easier.

Thanks!

Seceder Cemetery
Thank you very much for the recent transfer! I'm again focusing on Seceder Cemetery. I hope it's alright if I send along transcriptions of the stones. A lot of work, I know, but it would be nice to have them on all the memorials, since so many are hard to read and also, that is the only way a visually impaired person can know what is actually inscribed on the stone, if using Find A Grave--the computer can "read" the text aloud. I am wondering if you would be interested in collaborating on entering plots to the memorials, also. I am working, in part, from a compilation of gravestone transcriptions done around 1992. It is pretty thorough, with the occasional error. The woman who did it devised a really handy and accurate system for plotting Seceder Cemetery. It was very useful when I visited there. Although this is not "THE" original system, if there indeed was one, I doubt any other is known now. My argument for using hers is 1) it is very carefully plotted and logical, and 2) the Mt Pleasant historical society has a copy of her records, so anyone wishing to obtain a copy could do so--it is available online, as well. I think it might be useful to others for us to enter plots to the memorials, but do not wish to invest the time of sending them for your memorials, if you should disagree. If you think this is a bad idea for some reason, I will not add them to those I manage, either, as that could cause confusion, I think, at some point. Please let me know what your thoughts are on the above and I will act accordingly. Again, thank you very much for the transfer and all of your work in that cemetery--it is so very much appreciated!

Edits & Thanks
Hello,
I just wanted to send you a note. I hope you are not offended by the corrections I have been sending. I am using a transcription from quite a few years ago when the stones were probably still easier to read. I do a comparison with your photos, also, before sending any updates. Your photos are terrific--so sharp! They are a great help. I only decided to do this, as some graves have not been entered to Seceder and I got kind of carried away. I am really looking forward to visiting there soon. Your work and photos will be a great help for finding my ancestors. I am wondering if the cemetery is easy to find, or do you have any tips for locating it? I would be very appreciative. Thank you, again, for all of your hard work in that cemetery! It confirmed that my 3-great-grandfather is there, near his parents. We had not been sure where he was interred.
