I have always interested in where my family came from. Like all families, we have stories of famous/infamous relatives. Have been working for over 20 years trying to find the truth behind the stories. So far, I have been unable to prove any of the stories, but you never can tell! Only returning to the US for family visits limits the amount of time I have to explore physical records. With the advent of information on the internet, I have found great quanities of useful information. Find A Grave is a marvelous asset.|

OK, I did as ordered. :-]
I will transfer her to you if you like. You are a whole lot closer related to her than I am. I am sure I am related to her somehow, back there through Adam and Eve somewhere along the line.

As I was working on my family tree just now, I noticed for the first time that you've left 3 different memorials on the page for Corp Jourden Jeremiah Findley. Are you perhaps related to him, or know someone who is? I ask because he is either a 2g or 3g uncle to me, (I forget which off the top of my head), being the brother of my 2g grandfather.
I've run into a bit of a brick wall with Jourden - I can find names on his wife & 4 children, but nothing else. Not even where the others are buried. Any info you have and are willing to share would be most appreciated.

That marital link was requested by another party. Thank you for the clarification. Get a lot of wrong info sometimes...

If you are doing genealogy, there are others in this plot.
Noble Jarrett Patterson
A marker for Connie Patterson Roland-b.Mr.8,1923-living
David Langston Roland Ap 25,1924 - Oct 18,1998
Twin boys - Roland - Ap 16,1953 - Ap 16,1953
This is a general view of the current Section 43.
The exact section and block where this person was buried is no longer possible to photograph. In the late 1920s and into the 1930s Elmwood provided free graves for families that could not afford burials (so there were no grave markers). You had 30 years to "claim" your family member and rebury them in a regular grave plot.
Almost no one was claimed and reburied. So after 30 years they brought in more dirt and created new graves for purchase over the free graves. The section was given new lot and grave numbers that do not correspond to the old block and grave numbers. Therefore it will never be possible to provide anything other than general photographs of the current section.

|Dennis Yerbey||error in message|
I apologize for the name error in my earlier message. I was Rosella Flack.

I was at Shiloh Methodist Cemetery in Shiloh, Tennessee today. I searched for William Harmon and Roberta Flack's marker but was unable to locate them. I will be back in a few weeks and give it another try. I was a little pushed for time today and it was raining as well.
