I have been into genealogy and walking cemeteries since 2006. One side of my family comes from southern Iowa/Northern Missouri (Wayne County and Mercer County) via Pennsylvania (Hempfield, West Moorland). The other side from Norway to Bode in Humboldt County, Iowa. Those Norwegians are hard to figure out! I also have roots in Greene County and scattered around the state. I would be happy to go to any cemeteries in central Iowa when time permits, just let me know where and who I am looking for and I will get there as soon as I can. I am also willing to look up information needed on a person at the local libraries when I go. I keep a list of requests and will be happy to add more. |
If I have added a memorial for your family and that person is not in mine, I am willing to transfer.

Thanks for the welcome! I'm still very new with doing genealogy and family history and so far I have found this website to be the most helpful!

Hi Betsy! Thank you so much for taking time to upload photos for Anna Popinga, Harm & Bernice Penning. I really appreciate it!
Thank you for the photo of Virld C. DeArmoun's gravestone. It confirms the records I found that he is the Virld Clinton DeArmoun, born May 1, 1904 and died May 1957. I don't know where Thelma Jane Dorsey got 1894 from.

Thank you so much for taking the photo of Minnie's headstone. My family roots are deep in the area, and Minnie is a Great Aunt. I seem to make it to Iowa only every five years or so, so I much appreciate you taking the time to take this photo.

Thanks Betsy for taking the grave stone photos of Adolph H. Kreimeyer and Sadie Belle Hartgraves Kreimeyer for me.
Thanks so much for getting the photo of Rachel and Elizabeth's grave marker. Where would we be without volunteers like you!
