|Glenn Land||Land family in Bookwalter Cemetery|
Hi..... You recently added a photo of Thomas A. Land's marker in Bookwalter Cemetery, Knoxville, Tennessee. Thomas was my 2nd cousin 2 x removed. His parents are also buried here. James Jefferson Land & Birdie Josephine Knight Land. If it would be possible I'd appreciate a photo of their stone. ( if indeed there is one ) I thought they may be buried close to Thomas. James was a Confederate Veteran of the 63rd Tennessee Infantry. Perhaps he has a Confederate marker. Thank you for your effort and labor of love !
|DLG||William Pledge Harbison|
Hi, My name is Donna Harbison Gagliano. I am a descendant of James & Ann Looney Harbison. William Pledge Harbison is not a son of James & Ann Looney Harbison.
This mistake was made by a descendant of William Pledge Harbison. Thomas Howe R. Neal was a g-grandson of William Pledge Harbison and did research in the 1970's. He published a book in 1973 giving his great grandfather William Pledge Harbison as the son of James & Ann Looney Harbison. Thomas Howe R. Neal never gives any proof in his book that William Pledge Harbison is their son.
The foot-steps in the photo of William Pledge Harbison's grave was replaced in 1964 by Thomas Howe R. Neal's brother Joseph Neal. I have spoken to the Clapps Chapel Church who keeps the records for the cemetery and this is the info they gave me. They don't have a record of what was on the previous stone.
I have plenty of proof that William Pledge Harbison and his supposed brother Aaron Harbison, who is also buried at Clapps Chapel Cem. are not the sons of my ancestors James & Ann Looney Harbison.
I don't know what I can do about this misinformation, really would like to know who there parents were, but I have been unable to trace them. I just wish that other researchers or family of William Pledge & Aaron Harbison know the truth.

Thanks Daniel for your quick effort on my request. This site has been great for all of us that cannot spend the time to get around to all of our family cemeteries. Again Thanks--Ed Beard

Thank you for getting the photo of Lee's stone. Appreciate it.
Yes, I would like the other photos.
Thank you for finding the grave of this man who died far too young. I'm sure it was someone my grandmother knew and she held on to the clipping for many years.
Your grave photo is a nice addition to this memorial for Clyde.
