I became interested in family research after I was given a research paper that my great uncle David Dunavan had written in 1938. While many of the photos that he had taken have been lost over time, a few remained of his hard work. I have retraced a lot of his footsteps and have added his (few) photos with mine to show the clarity that has been lost with the passage of time. I hope other will like the photos of these stones. They don't get any better with elements of weather and the many years that have come and gone.|

Thanks for responding. I stopped at the gas station before it closed lately, it was full of people, but nobody knew where it was.
Maybe my GPS can find it.

Where is this cemetery located from Castle Rock?
I found a cemetery just west of Castle Rock, but it didn't have the Charles & Calista Livingston graves I was looking for.

Good evening, David
The Whidbey Island WA Chapter, NSDAR is working on a biographical sketches to honor Island County's WW1 veterans.
Would you give us permission to use the photo of Fred found on this memorial? We already have the census information and his WW1 draft registration card. We want to put together photos and signatures of each veteran. If possible, we are looking for a photo of the veteran in his uniform but, lacking that, any photo will suffice.
You may contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org with your response.
Thank you so much for considering joining our DAR chapter in this exciting project.
Joan Peters, Project Coordinator, Whidbey Island WA Chapter, NSDAR
Do you know how much of Bayview Cem has been photographed? There is a photo request open, and just wondered if you might have that photo. I don't. but won't be back there with the weather.
I took pics in late Aug and am loading them this last week, but focused on the west side, which looks like you did also. LOL. If you have covered most of the west side, I won't continue, so please let me know.
Thanks! and happy pic-taking!

The inscription on the grave stone that is partially unreadable is a poem on many old headstones and the full poem is
Remember me as you pass by, as you are now, so once was I, As I am now, so you must be, Prepare for death and follow me
