Remember, I will still be here|
As long as you hold me in your memory.
This was a wondrous site where the upcoming generations can easily find their history and ancestors. Even after we are gone, our work will remain. Thank you, Findagrave.
My tree was done generations ago, thanks to my ancestors. Now my time is spent on documenting cemeteries, research, linking family members and connecting the dots; my virtual flowers now represent edits.
We are all simply the guardians of those we have kindly added until their family comes along. I am eager to transfer anyone who is not family to family. Demands will be ignored, "please" is simply common courtesy. People with kind, sincere words make my day.
If I have transferred a member of your to you because you placed flowers on your ancestor's memorial, please do me the courtesy of not changing my work, and adding more to the bio if need be. Thank you.
I take my heritage, 'graving' and documentation very seriously and most respectfully. Accuracy is of the most utmost importance to me, not who 'owns' a memorial. If I have made an error, please, please, let me know, politely. Cooperation is the entire point of this site. I now understand why people leave Findagrave. If you are rude, I will ignore you.
** I spend over half my time on Findagrave JUST sending edits to admin for duplicates. PLEASE double check before you add a historical person from the 1600's or back. Most likely, they have already been added.
** PLEASE read the FAQ concerning BURIALS UNKNOWN. They are to be used for RECENT deaths only, not your 176th great grandfather whose burial is 'not located yet.' I adhered to the rules, please do the same. I will not link to an unknown burial, or it makes Find A Grave pointless.
**If you will not honor an update you are doing the memorial an injustice, not to mention the hard work of the volunteers and Findagrave admins who now have to do YOUR WORK. If you don't want to do updates, give your memorials to someone who will, PLEASE.
**Do not use my photos without permission, and ask BEFORE you use them. Simple, reasonable.
** If your pictures are crooked, of poor quality, out of focus, too dark to read, taken at night, shadowed, or the stone is covered in dirt or weeds, or your finger was in front of the lens, I will add my photo on the memorial. I apologize, I do not intend to offend. It is not out of disrespect for the other photographer, it is out of respect for the deceased and the family who might appreciate a good photo of the stone. Please have the gumption and consideration to post only decent, well thought out photos.
**USE THE MEMORIAL EDIT/SUGGESTION OPTION ON THE MEMORIAL you want updated for updates requests, transfer requests, or general inquiries for ANY memorial, it gives me easy access to the memorial in question, I have entered thousands. I will IGNORE AND DELETE suggestions, requests and updates and inquiries left HERE or in EMAIL, as they are REPEATEDLY, DESPITE THIS stupidly bold NOTICE.

Owen was my Uncle's best friend in college. My late Uncle (Ned Ordway) and he were dear, dear friends and before my uncle died - he had asked me to find out exactly what had happened to Owen and where he had been shot down, etc. This is sort of at the early stages of the internet and mostly I made phone calls and eventually found out what we wanted to and was able to tell my uncle all about it. It gave him some kind of peace. I then found FAMILY of Owen's (don't have name right here - was it even you?) and SENT the file I had on Owen to them - with notes from another gunner who witnesses Owen's plane being shot down, etc.
I'd like to think when my Uncle died in 2002 - those two rascals got back together again!
I have a lot of fun college photos of the two of them skiing and taking trips together I really need to sort through and send to family too.
So - that is how I had what I had.

Thanks for the offer but I don't see the need for me to manage the memorial.

Hello Anne, you are very welcome. Joseph's niece, Caroline Mayne, was married to my 3rd great uncle Wm Mitchell. I came across Alexander's memorial while researching Caroline's mother Eliza Eudey.

I had noticed your graphic for 62714252. I hope you don't mind but I have also added it to my flower section. Very nice graphic

|Candace Manfredi||RE: Robert Harriman 157585902|
Yes, Robert is my 3rd great grandfather's (Charles Harriman) brother. Are you related to Robert? I am trying to find where Charles Harriman died and where he is buried. I know that his wife, Betsy Burbank Harriman is buried at Pine Street Cemetery in Auburn,Maine. Charles was born July 5, 1789 in Chatham, NH but I am not sure when he died or where. It was after 1850 and before 1860. He and Betsy had eleven children and the first seven of them were born in Chatham, NH but I'm not sure where the other four were born. If you have any information I would love to know about it and share what I have and of course if there are pictures. I don't have any pictures except of my great grandfather Ira Harriman. Hope we can share information. Candace
|Mike Spatter||RE: Jeptha Ginn 36967103|
Jeptha Ginn is my third cousin, twice removed.
My 5th Great Grand Farther was Jesse Ginn.
His Son Luke Woodward Ginn was the brother of Sherwood H Ginn.
Sherwood H. Ginn was Jeptha B. Ginn's Great Grand Father.
I hope this helps. Is always find "cousins" here.
